Timeline

hi everyone,

i am going to file I 130 for my husband very soon, this is my second marraige and i am still using my married name from my EX-HUSBAND, i have his last name on my passport my naturalization certificate but when i got divore i signed with my maiden name and now when i got married this time i signed with maiden name again , so now i have my maiden name on my divorce and marriage certificate and married name on passport and naturalization from ex-husband, so should i wrtie my maiden name on i 130 or the name that i have on passport??? or if i want to take my husband's last name now from this marraige should i write that?? thanks

I would use the name on your passport and include a letter explaining the different names on your documents - maybe have it notarized, my bank did it for free. I had a legal name change 5 years ago but my passport and marriage certificate are in my birth name*since my passport was the only ID I had in Nepal when we got married) so thought I should explain everything. When hubby gets here I will get everything straightened out but for now I am just using the name on my passport on the I-130 etc..
