I don't think it's fair to compare homosexuality with pedophelia or even house-holds where multiple partners as it has been brought up in the previous pages. Pedophiles are doing psychological damage to children which is horrendous and cruel. Women living with polygamists are just plain stupid if they don't respect themselves, so it's their problem as long as there are no children involved in their behavior.

But two adult gay people who agree to love each other, or please each other whatever the case may be, are not doing anything wrong. It's a relationship between them and only them and again, as long as no children are involved it's ok. Same goes for heterosexual relationships.

1. I believe Christianity to be "love God, love yourself, love your neighbor." Do these three things and how can you break any of the commandments?

2. When did I say that class trips were guided by wacky ideas? And how is this a "random" parent? I'm an educator and I certainly don't condone this particular type of field trip, but at the same time what they did was show love and support of a teacher, on non-school time, approved by all the parents of the classmates. How is this offensive? How is this random? Rather, I would think this takes a moment that could be disturbing and puts it in the hands of the parents where they are able to use it as a teachable moment for the greater purpose of teaching love and tolerance. This wasn't some kind of gay sex orgy.

3. What? Have you read the book? Or the story of Roy and Silo? Again, like with your comment about #2, you are really taking something innocent and turning it into some sort of big deal. There is NOTHING in the story of Roy and Silo that says anything about ####### sex.

I disagree. If they were "normal" - we would not be having this discussion. By no stretch of the imagination is it normal. If it were, people wouldn't make a big deal about "coming out" or getting access to marriage, etc. It's definitely not the norm. If you think that it is, well, nothing I can say will convince you otherwise - so I won't bother.

Being around those types of things will help them to be more tolerant when they're older and then they won't even have to have this debate that we're having.

But you're starting from the premise that this is a good thing. Not everyone agrees.

One could say the same thing about gay people.

It's interesting that you will cast your judgment against one set of people who choose to live a particular sexual and personal lifestyle, but defend another.

What children have to do with it in any case is simply beyond me. MANY cultures around the world have plural marriage and their children are JUST fine. Please don't confuse plural marriage with child sexual abuse. That's as ridiculous as the comparison of homosexuals with paedophiles.

So, do you tolerate animal abuse? How about child abuse? How about politicians that disregard the law?

Oh...I see....so tolerance is not ALWAYS a good thing. You have to draw the line somewhere - right? Well, guess what - people draw that line in different places. There is nothing more or less wrong with where someone ELSE draws that line. You don't have any kind of holy or special position with your line. It's just arbitrary. It can be drawn anywhere. Claiming someone else is wrong or morally inferior in some way because they draw the line in a different place than you, now THAT'S ignorance.
