Hello evebody I have a question .I came to USA and my I end up overstaying .When I go fill it out the forms .They ask questions like :

When your I-94 and your visa should expired ???.Should I put the date expired anyways .or just N/A ???Thanks !!

Put the date they expired.

USCIS TIMELINE

N400 (Citizenship Application):

Package sent: 02/17/2012

NOA Date: 02/21/2012

mine expired like 8 years ago and that's the date that I put in there

Hey !!

I have a J1 visa too,.. and i have so many question and cant seem to find any answers.

i dont have the 2 year requirement, so am i okay filing I-485?! or do i need a waiver too?

some say im not allowed to get married while i have a J1 visa?

im getting married next month (in the US) and im a little worried,..

can someone give me some answers?

It's best if you start your own thread in the future.

You can marry on a J-1 as long as you didn't use it just to come here and marry.

You don't need a waiver if you aren't subject to the 2 year rule. You will need to prove you aren't subject to it.

11.01.2010 - Successful biometrics walk-in @ 9:45 AM; EAD card sent for production text/email @ 2:47 PM! I-485 case status now available online.
11.04.2010 - Text/Email (2nd) - EAD card sent for production
11.08.2010 - Text/Email (3rd) - EAD approved
11.10.2010 - EAD received
12.11.2010 - Interview letter received - 01.13.11
01.13.2011 - Interview - no decision on the spot

Hi Guys,

How can you prove that you are not subject to the 2 year rule? My husband came in 2000 on J1 visa. He lost all his documents. Got a replacement I-94 that just states visa J1. We had an interview on 07/10/12 and have to wait for the result. I doubt that the agency which helped my husband to obtain J1 visa still exists from 2000.

04/18/12 Biometrics done in Philadelphia
05/10/12 RFE response received and under review
06/07/12 Interview is scheduled on 07/10/12 :)
07/11/12 I-130 approved/no word on I-485 :(
07/12/12 5:20 PM received an email I-485 approved!!!!!!!!
07/16/12 Hard copies of I-130 and I-485 approval letters received
07/17/12 Card production ordered
07/18/12 Card Sent :)
07/20/12 Greencard received
