Hello VJers.

I am glad to tell you all that our Application has been completed at NVC and we have received Nov 11 as the date of Interview. I hoping that the date remains same and constant.

I just wanted to get an idea from you all regarding what happens on the day on Interview. At the end of the day, go you get travel document on the same day? What do they ask you or make you do? Do you need to carry any thing with you? Any help in this direction would be very helpful.

Thanks in advance,

Regards,

Rajat :star:

Just bring everything stated in your appointment letter. And bring a backup of everything you have sent to the NVC such as additional passport photos, authenticated birth/marriage certificates, AOS and a copy of the petitioner's 2007 tax return, etc. And don't forget secondary proofs of relationships such as pictures, emails, phone logs, joint bank accounts, etc.

The CO will generally ask about how you met and eventually got married which are very basic questions. In fact, my interview in Manila lasted only around two minutes. Hope the same applies to you.

Most if not all US Embassies employ a courier to deliver visas to applicants. But if everthing is ok, expect to receive your visa within three days. (Another day to print the visa, another for courier to pickup, and another to deliver to you.)

Good luck on your interview! :D

I assume that you are going to take the interview in US embassy in Kuwait. I did my interview there on K1 visa. Follow the advice above for your K3 visa. Bring the copies of all your documents and the original ones. Bring your Kuwait civil ID to get the number in the security booth. When your visa is approved, the interviewer will give you a sticker for the DHL. I got my visa on hand after 5 days (from the day they received my medical report; my medical wasnt ready on the interview date) through the DHL service. The visa package from DHL will cost you around 7KD and will be paid on the day of the delivery. They will hand over the visa only to you and you have to show your civil ID too. Be there early because you may see a long line. Good luck with your interview.
