Yeah, I am going to comment on this. If we are going to read a bunch of threads that are anti-McCain or how McCain supporters or the GOP is doing this or that to silence voters who don't agree with them, then this is definitely fair. In essence, the people shouting and being obnoxious are trying to silence or treat those people as dumb or idiots who are voting for McCain. If anyone acts like that, they are complete idiots IMO. The whole "wake up! wake up!" shouting lady does remind me of some VJers. These people may have looked like a bunch of nuts though walking down the street like this though, hehe. I think I did hear a few supportive cheers though. lol A few. What can ya do. It does seem many people want others to be open minded but don't apply that to themselves. Open minded to me does not mean to agree, but to accept there are those who don't agree with you and how you treat people who don't agree with you says a lot about a person IMO.

Well, Stina... as long as you discuss issues, I am sure people can find merit one way or another in how they value them. That doesn't mean we have to get all in arms about style, which is where I suspect you are taking your argument or observation. I'll still value your contribution either way.

I don't have a problem with calling people who shout at marchers 'idiotic', that's fine, that's as good an opinion of what they are doing as any, but to call their actions supressive, to suggest that the 'librul elite' are trying to prevent McCain supporters from spreading their message is just as idiotic.

The 23-year-old corporal was on the road, near the intersection of Roslyn Street and Barncleuth Lane, and blocking the path of a medium-sized sedan, police said.

The driver of the car, possibly a Mitsubishi Magna, beeped the horn and the Marine was moved off the road by a passer-by, police said.

But a passenger got out from the car and, without provocation, punched the Marine in the face, police said.

He fell heavily to the ground and hit his head, police said.

He was in a serious but stable condition at St Vincents Hospital, with a fractured skull and other head injuries.

On only a couple of instances in the video did I hear shouts of 'Obama' or 'Yes we can'. It's an assumption on the part of the OP that these dissenters are 'Liberals'. If they're just people disillusioned with the GOP, that covers quite a lot of ground.
