Not mature discourse, naturally, but then marches aren't meant for that purpose.

What kind of person even goes to these things? :innocent:

You know, I have nothing against marches, but really they are simply making a statement. The intent is the march itself and the reaction (positive/negative) that it receives. To think that you will get respectful, insightful comments during a march is overstating it somewhat, as the march itself isn't saying anything insightful in the first place.

What exactly do you think I would be 'afraid' to say to your face BY? I cant think of one post I have ever made that I wouldn't say if you were standing in front of me. Try to portray me as some 'coward' if you like, but I am not.

Quite the contrary PH. You are all big and tough behind these forums. But I am sure even you are not stupid enough to be such a smart ###, condescending, to someone in person.

 Well, you clearly don't know me very well BY. As to whether I am stupid for being me, well, that's an interesting conundrum isn't it?

Refusing to use the spellchick!

I have put you on ignore. No really, I have, but you are still ruining my enjoyment of this site. .

Ok, next time the stormtroopers march through our neighborhood, we'll just shut up and cower like good little Germans.

Better?

More liberal American rubbish. It is called respecting someone else's opinion. Whether you agree with it or not.

These idiots carrying on like they are 8 and from the ghetto is clearly not an example of this or being educated.

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.

By creating the false expectation that liberals have to 'stfu' when conservatives march, you're actually trying to suppress their freedom of expression :)

Well maybe liberal Americans need to be educated by the rest of the world what it means to respect other people's opinion.

Obviously you guys did not get the message with 9/11.

Ouch.

I guess we should brace ourselves for a new wave of bombing attacks when "W" comes out.

Aficionado will be flying one of the planes, no doubt.

So how's that pilot training coming along, O Evil One?

Planes!? Pshaw - with the Aussies drink-drive problem, the truck will probably end up in the East River ;)

Is anyone else getting the subtle hint of violence here?

Subtle?

Subtlety is for coward libruls.

Aficionado is honest about it. He'll beat the ####### out of all us libruls with both hands tied behind his back!

Not all opinions deserve respect by everyone.

Liberal opinions are disrespected day in and day out on talk radio. It's cool.

This is how it's done in America. If you're too p u s s y to handle it, go back to Australia you pansy lil b1tch.

I know it's not new...I know it's not unusual...but still I find people who act like that to be idiots.

I don't think anyone is defending the behaviour, only the interpretation of it as somehow "suppressing"

people's rights. As individuals, we're only responsible for ourselves - so the constant attempts of trying to lump everyone into a camp and imply some sort of guilt by association based on incidents like this is a little irritating to me.

Again, a bunch of woosies if they can't take being 'shouted' at. How sad, too bad.

It's like this ridiculous game the right play here on VJ, oh, you libruls, you are not allowed to get angry, that's hypocritical. Yeah, right...

Yeah I would like to see you say half the stuff you say here to my face. I would pay for that opportunity.

Lay your money down.
