That if a US Citizen is in the country (where foreign husband is living) for 6 months..that the US Citizen can ask the US Embassy for Direct Consulr Filing? Does anyone what I am talking about? If so, is this true? And how/what do I have to do? Thank you!

Technically yes - certain restrictions apply.

Yes, there is a complete forum here dedicated to this... DCF or Direct Consulate Filing. Howver, "in country" typically means legal residency and not simply on a tourist visit

yes you can file directly to the US embassy in Bosnia-Herzegovina; people say it's fast and easy process!

That's right I forgot! My husband would have to then go to the US Embassy in Bosnia! I briefly assumed he would be able to go US Embassy in Germany but b/c he is a Bosnian citizen, then he would go to Bosnia.

UGH..I hate this! =(

We may just wait for this I-129F to be approved for the K3 Visa...I hope it will be approved soon.

I told ya to check with the embassy ;) Some require a 2 year residency. Most of that info is on ther website.

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

You're probably right. I wish Amman was 6 months and not 2 years....
