My two cents - I contacted my congressman in back in July and have been talking back and forth with them. They have no answer for these delays and give nothing but canned responses. I never even got a reply to my last e-mail to them. I think Senators may be better bet. Having said, I have contacted both Hillary and Schumer and I doubt if anyone will pay attention.

Now! I know TWO senators that could be useful if you got them queried at a TV show! ;-) But I doubt they'd give a XXXX about USCIS problems after they get elected. Immigration is not popular with most people. Just look at how many users stick to VJ after they get their approvals, greencards, citizenships etc...

I don't blame them, I wish I could do the same and not care either! ;-)

But for me this will be an experience it will take a long time to forget. Never had to wait this long for about anything!

Last tuesday my husband called USCIS again. He said they couldn't give him any information, not even about the expedite request. The person who spoke to him also told him: "Be patient, sir". And my husband told me he had to laugh when he heard that.

We're going to write to our senators by the end of this week. Officially we're not outside their processing times, but we're going to do everything we can to have our cased approved ASAP.

... very tired of this. :(

Both our I-129 and I-130 were touched today and status updated to say that they had been moved to our local office (Orlando, FL) for processing. Does anyone know or have experience in what that transfer means or if it usually leads to a speedy approval? The Orlando office does not list that they even process these types of applications, but I'm thinking Vermont is just trying to distribute the workload.

Hopefully they really distribute their workload because clearly they can't deal with it. I hope Orlando processes your case faster. Good Luck!

Well I don't know what to say! We didn't get approved on 9th of October like I posted before. My husband was told 3 times by the person on the phone from VSC that we got approved our I-129F. Well guess what! They approved only our expetite request on 9th. But today I checked case status online just in case and found that our both petitions were aproved on 16 th of October. Nice joke LOL!

This is an unusual move. I hope it works out better for you, but in the few cases that have gone to the local office that I have seen here have not been good. The local office usually gets the case to conduct a local office interview of the USC spouse which delays things, or it was an error and the local office will eventually send it back to VSC when they realize an error was made.

Both our I-129 and I-130 were touched today and status updated to say that they had been moved to our local office (Orlando, FL) for processing. Does anyone know or have experience in what that transfer means or if it usually leads to a speedy approval? my experience after reading these forum says that you will get an answer on or before november 16. its an average of 20 days for those transfered. again, just my observation through these forums.
