OK I need some help I have a problem. My I130 has beed approved and is at NVC. The I130 has my last name for my wife on it.

On the DS230 question # 1 and #26 ask for your family name. Should this be her Chinese family name? I mean it is the appilication for visa and it needs to match here passport. I say that because when they mail her the letter for the interview it must match what the pasport says or they won't let you in for the interview. Not only that her mailing address is in her Chinese name. :help::help::help:

I married my love on 12/24/07

I filed for the I 130 on 1/23/08

Receipt number recevied 2/13/08

Paperwork sent to Guangzhou on 1/23/09

Interview 5/21/09 PASSED !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Visa 5/23/09

POE 6/2/09

Home 6/3/09

FILED I-751

SENT PAPERWORK 3/8/11

NOA-1 3/10/11

BIOMETERICS 4/29/11

WAITING APPROVAL

It should be the name she would use in the US. If she changed her name when you got married then it would be the married name. You would then put her passport name on lines 2 & 27. My wife kept her name for traditional reasons. So for us her passport name was on 1 & 26 and 2 & 27 were N/A.

I'm guessing that you married in China. If so, there was no legal name change. They don't usually do that. So put her Chinese family name. Attach an explanation that you made the mistake on the I-130.
