Campaign slogans in general are lame. Just run off your damn merit and plans and be done with it. I wonder how many people will actually vote for a candidate based mostly on their slogan. I'd hate to think I'm associated by species with these folks.

Although, drill, baby, drill, sounds just like the Bush administration of the last, what, 5 years? People evidently haven't caught on yet to the theme -- reckless oil obsession, and private interests, of course.

Apparently public hasn't caught on that buying gas hogs fueled by mostly foreign oil and living out in the suburbs in their McMansions dozens and dozens of miles from their work and commerce centers would eventually catch up to them. I see it now though...GWB drugged the water with mind control drugs and made them do it. Just like he made them sell the equity in their overpriced homes to buy consumer goods and bought even more stuff on easy credit like there was no tomorrow. All to buy sh*t they really didn't need with money they really didn't have.

After a while the "GWB is the cause of it all" theme wears kind of thin. Kind of like Jesse James getting the blame for every bank robbery that ever happened when he was around. Yep...pretty lame.

"Credibility in immigration policy can be summed up in one sentence: Those who should get in, get in; those who should be kept out, are kept out; and those who should not be here will be required to leave."

"...for the system to be credible, people actually have to be deported at the end of the process."

US Congresswoman Barbara Jordan (D-TX)

Testimony to the House Immigration Subcommittee, February 24, 1995
