Pregnancy does not speed up the visa nor slow it down.

Visas will take the same amount of time no matter what.

You sent off your visa in September so estimate on your timeline JUST for the NOA2 is:

Based on timeline data, your I129f may be adjudicated between February 3, 2009 and February 20, 2009*.

Figure 4 to 5 months from the time you filed and got your NOA1 accepted. THEN it has to be sent to the NVC then the embassy.

When that happens of course there will be medicals to have and police clearance befroe the interview (it will go faster I hear AFTER the noa2 is approved! THAT is the longest part of it all)

You do not qualify for Accelerated Processing because you are pregnant either:( in case you might be wondering

So just be patient and I know it is a rough road. It will be okay hun I swear it will and lets PRAY your sweetie will be home in time for the birth!

hugs and fast journey to you

Has anyone had any problems with getting there visa due to pregnancy, or has it been delayed?

any info would be helpful, just planning for any thing that may happen

Why do you think there would be an effect? Pregnancy is not a visa ineligibility...

Pregnancy may cause delay is departure because an airline may refuse to let you fly....

YMMV

we are trying to cover all the base. and dont want any thing to get in our way. i have read other post that said there could be question about the child. some suggested getting dna test to prove that i was the father

has anyone had this happen or had question arise from the fiance getting pregant her interview

When you go to register the child as a US citizen, some places require a DNA test I believe.

Being pregnant has no effect on the decision to grant you a visa. Not sure why you would think that would be an issue for getting a visa.

Good luck.

Well you can accually use a pregancy to your benifit if your smart about it. I was able to get our case expidited from nvc to USEM due to a letter I wrote to the NVC. The NVC fowarded our case with in 2 days of the expididte being approved to USEM and then USEM had our medical and interview schedualed in just a few days. Check out my sig and then my other post for more info.

04-12-08 Married

06-11-08 Mailed I-130 Package

06-18-08 NOA1

08-08-08 NOA2

10-22-08 Interview USEM

10-28-08 Visa Received

11-01-08 POE

That was fast!

Got to love the fact my wife was preggy and even with a RFE @ NVC she was still here in under 5 months!

The process is very different for spousal visas than it is for fiance visas. ;) Many times a married couple can claim hardship reasons for expedite.

For a K1, the case will not get expedited because the beneficiary or petitioner are pregnant. As said above, and dependent on the Country, you may need to prove through DNA that your fiance is the father of the child.

Sorry, I couldnt find your other posts related to the letter you wrote. I am very intersted as I am writing a letter now. My Fiancee and I just found out we are going to have a baby, and when she went to the doctor, they found some irregular mass on the fetal stem. I dont know how bad this is yet, but I want to get her her ASAP. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I know everyone wants there fiancee here ASAP, and I was waiting patiently (sort of), but now I am really concerned. To avoid complications as well as to make sure I am at the birth, I want my child born here in the US. But more importantly, I want to make sure my Fiancee and baby get all the medical care they need.

I found it. Thanks. I dont know if it will help to send a letter or not, but if there is anything I can do to help - especially when it concerns their health, I think I should try.
