An interesting question is how big the Bradley Effect will be in this election.

My guess - about 15%.

Hmmm. That big? That's bigger than in any other election where a Bradley effect has been alleged. Do you really think the USA has gotten lots more racist in the past few years?

Yes.

Election 2008: Electoral College Update

Electoral College: Obama 255 McCain 163

Friday, October 10, 2008

New state polling from Oregon has moved that state from "Leans Democratic" to "Likely Democratic" in the Rasmussen Reports Balance of Power Calculator. With this change, Obama leads in states with 255 Electoral College votes while McCain is ahead in states with 163 Electoral College votes. When “leaners” are included, it’s Obama 300, McCain 174.

Currently, states with 63 Electoral College votes are leaning slightly in one way or the other. Five states with a total of 64 votes -- North Carolina, Ohio, Missouri, Nevada, and Virginia -- are pure toss-ups.

State-by-state rankings are summarized in the following table…

There's your roadmap, my friend. Notice that FL isn't among the pure toss-ups anymore. And it ain't leaning McSame either. ;)

McCain will ride a wave of white resentment straight into the White House. The polls don't show it because the pollsters don't call the Klaverns.

What the pollsters don't call are cell phones. There's spread in those numbers and that spread doesn't favor "that ancient one".

Watch for those white hoods, man. They are the stealth swing vote this season.

I'm sure ACORN has already signed them up to vote. Any name from the phone book will do.

I don't think this site - which summarizes polls - agrees that Obama has peaked - kind of the contrary:

http://www.fivethirtyeight.com/

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

Drudge has posted Zogby and Rasmussen numbers that both show the same thing. The lead is narrowing.

McCain is back.

ZOGBY MONDAY: OBAMA 48%, MCCAIN 44%... DEVELOPING...

RASMUSSEN MONDAY: OBAMA 50%, MCCAIN 45%... DEVELOPING...

It will be the first election whereby the candidate was chosen by the liberal media, elevated to rock star status by the liberal media, coddled and protected by the MS media, and fianally Acorned top the highest office of the land.

Historical indeed.....

The name Kennedy rings a bell....

I was hoping that Dan Quayle would run picking Palin for his VP, now that's a winning combination!

But...she can see potatoes from her office window.

Zogby now reports that Obama and McCain are statistically tied!

Obama leads McCain by 48 percent to 44 percent among likely voters, down 2 percentage points from the lead he enjoyed on Sunday. The poll has a margin of error of 2.9 points.

Pollster John Zogby said Monday's results, which saw Obama drop 1 point and McCain gain 1 point from Sunday's figures, was an indication the race remained competitive in the final weeks before the November 4 election.

McCain advisers say they're saving their best material for the last ten days of the race, when, the campaign hopes, three quarters of the remaining undecided voters will make up their minds, and their minds will be concentrating on Barack Obama. When the urgency of the presidential election impresses itself, the hope is that these voters will swing back to the familiar, rather than the unknown. The last ten days, according to a McCain aide, are when the "imponderables" come into play.

Speaking on St. Louis radio, the candidate says Obama’s recent comments have “probably ensured” the former Weather Underground leader will come up in Wednesday’s debate.
