Hi Everyone

I thought that I would write an account of my AOS for all those Minnesotans out there ( I know I was busy scouring the AOS interview accounts before mine).

My interview was at 9.00am on Thursday 25th. We arrived 30 minutes early and ambled in. The guards were super nice and we were let in with no problem (they just needed to see id and interview letter). We were directed to the interview area (which was upstairs - you usually go downstairs for Infopass). At the door we had to surrender our interview notice and then we were let into the waiting room.

The waiting room only had a few people there - but some groups contained 4 or more and I occupied my time trying to work out who was who (also with the news that reported some guy who was going around sucking random peoples toes). A few people who were there had binders and binders of paperwork which made me a little nervous when I looked at our little pile.

Around 9.15 we were called in to an office with a youngish female INS officer. She swore us in and was nice but very serious. She asked the following

My date of birth

My mums first name (plus current location)

My dads first name (plus current location)

How B and I met and when

And that was about it, all she wanted was this years taxes and that was it!!!!!!

She took my passport and stamped and signed it.

it was so easy and we were in and out in 10 minutes.

Thanks for all the help guys, If i didnt have VJ i dont know if I would have been as prepared or calm.
