To the OP, I don't think it was your choice of words that were wrong.

You initially stated that you were "currently researching ways to get a green card".

This is what upset so many people here on the forum. Your *intention* is to get a green card, not wonder what would happen if you happened to fall in love with an American girl.

The OP also asked if they could come over on a K-1 then adjust status using the mothers petition... to which I'd wonder why someone would even ask that? It's easy to forgive much due to ESL which is the case for a lot of people, but I don't really think people jumped the gun here, and a lot of times on this site people definitely DO jump the gun or fail to read what people write (again, probably a result of so many ESL people running around here).

Yes, ESL stand for English as a Second Language. Also, it looks to me as if the OP has reversed direction on his stance of attaining a green card. First he was "researching ways" on how to get a green card, then when he found out that people were getting pissed at him and started accusing him of attempting to commit fraud, he stepped on the brakes and then changed the wording of the question, however it's still the same question. "IF I met a USC girl and we fell in love and it was a real marriage based on love" is the same as his original question but only worded differently.

This person, it APPEARS, is trying to commit fraud. He doesn't deserve assistance if this is the case.

One petition cancell the other. It means your girlfriend petition will cancel the one that was submitted by your mother. By the time that the visa becomes available with your mother petition maybe you would here and all what they do is to cancel it.

Because English is not your mother tongue maybe you didn´t choose the correct words and your post is reflecting other thing and members are mad at you.
