Hi Everyone,

Likewise, it's been awhile since I've moved here to the USA. As well, with the fact that I didn't know that I was going to move here in the first place (I came on a visit, married, and then just "immigrated", see my VJ timeline for more info) makes me think about this question further now...

Hmmm...The things that make me "smile" since I've been here are:

-Most important, being with my husband: D (he always makes me :)...) and spending the rest of our lives, "together forever" here in the USA!

-Use my senses fully here in the country now instead of the city before, in the way nature intended:

Seeing the beautiful and scenic rural countryside

Hearing the sounds of the woodland creatures

Breathing fresh country air

Tasting fresh well/country water and fresh country fruits and vegetables

Feeling the warmth of the friendly and caring people around me

-Being able to "leave my bad past behind" (too bad I left my good pet cat, sigh, I still miss her)

-Finally having the true inspiration to be able to "pursue my future dreams"

-Lol...yeah "procreating thumbs up :thumbs: ".....(sigh....that's another heartbreaking story though... :crying: ..)

I think of some more to add to my list, but this short list so far is good for the time being to think about and make me "smile"...:)

Here are the ones I can think of:

  • Being with my soulmate :) :) :)
  • Having friendly and caring people around me (I already have more friends in the US than in Canada :lol: )
  • Living in the country
  • Going horseback riding whenever I feel like it
  • Being on vacation, away from work, for a while and planning to work from home and be my own boss (once I get my EAD, of course)
  • Being away from any major city and not having to cope with the polluted air and crowded subway every day
I'll probably discover more once I've moved but those are the main ones on my mind right now.

I don't have to wait anyone - but hubby still does for when the mood arises. ;)

I too like Trailmix love having plants outside all year round that don't have pine needles.
