Can I get a job as teller at the bank with EAD

How difficult is it to get teller`s position at the bank??? Is EAD good enough for them??? Or I will have to wait for a greencard??? Is it any bank you can suggest to try??? I live in DC area so it is plenty of different banks around.

Any advice welcome.

EAD is good enough. Don't know any banks in the DC area though, sorry.

As far as I know you do not need to be a US citizen to work in a bank, EAD should be fine.

If you have EAD before your greencard, then you can work. But if you want to work as a teller's position in a bank, better to call that agency first and ask thier requirements. If you have a foreign transcripts of records, other company need your educational credentials evaluated first to determine your degree equivalent in the United States or elsewhere.

I worked as a bank teller for several years before and during college. No degree was required.

Also, I don't see how/why any bank would require citizenship.

I responded to adverts for positions at several banks - and was invited several times to interview, at no time did they raise citizenship as an issue and I only had EAD at that time. I was suprised as I had never worked in a bank before but I did have extensive experience in customer services - my advice is GO FOR IT!

To be a bank teller you have to pass a back ground and credit check and be bondable. Although that doesn't specifically state you must be full citizen I seriously dount you will find any that aren't. The fact the have access to all that personal identifable info and money means that they aren't going to hand the job out to someone without a lot a verifiable history in this country.

My wife only had her EAD when she started working in a Bank as a Teller, She did have to have her Fingerprints taken at the local Police office and this was submitted to the FBI for checking. She was never asked about Citizenship on her first day of work she had to complete the I-9 form and used her EAD and State DL for the requested evidence. She does have a Business and Finance degree from the UK, but that was not required for the Job.
