Hey Ed, Aline and Travis

I do hope your NOA 2's will arrive soon. Just don't look too much on the uscis website imho...I checked it around 4-5 times everyday and it just pissed me off more and then the letter arrived with no update whatsoever on email or on the site. Just think positive !!

I stopped checking the website a month ago too.

I also just got really pissed off when I saw it.

Our custody case is ongoing. Knowing this, Gabriella called the US Consulate to move our interview date (was 3/24/2009) to a later date. A few days later, we received email that our application was being cancelled. We were shocked, sad, confused, but acted quickly to call and email the US Consulate and cleared up the misunderstanding. Thankfully, they reversed the decision and extended our application another three months! They told us to call and schedule our new interview date at least 90 days before our new application expiration date. THANK GOD! We were also very succinctly told that there would be no more changes to our application.

Our advice to others that think about moving your interview date..

1) DO NOT move your interview date!

2) If you have to move your interview date, MAKE YOUR INTENTIONS CLEAR! I recommend that you have them tell you exactly what they will do next.

3) When in doubt, call the US Consulate where your interview will take place.

Both Gabriella and I feel fortunate we are not starting over from scratch. We hope and pray your journey is much smoother and faster than ours.

Good luck October 2008 CSC filers!

Thank you, Susi. Yeah I got the interview the same day as I returned the Packet 3. The interview went really well and the CO was so nice and friendly. Thanks to GOD!!

I hope you will get the Packet 3 soon. To others, I hope the process will go by well and for those who haven't got NOA2, I prayed your NOA2 will be in hand soon.

God is so great!!

Kenneme - Congratulations on making it to the NVC Stage. In my experience, they work really fast, but it's more so dependent on how fast you are to send them everything. I wouldn't worry about how long it'll take - You'll hear back from them within a week. Two at the most. :) Keep us updated.

Spikeyflip - Yay! Congratulations on your approval. Took them long enough. :/ As I said, though, the next phase in the process goes a lot smoother! You'll be with your sweetheart in no time. <3

Aline and Travis and Ed + Cindy - I am so sorry that this process is moving at such a slow pace for the two of you. I hope so much that the person who seems to be using your petitions for paperweights gets his behind into gear so you can move onto the next part of the process. I know it's hard and annoying, but you'll get there. <3

Ita - I already said this to you via PM, but I'll say it here, too: Congratulations on your approval! That's so great. <3

Ugh, I would have had a heart attack, lol. I'm glad that they were able to fix things without any other problems, though. Do you know when your next interview is scheduled for?

As for me - I did disappear again, but I've been busy! TamTu's family took care of the invitations for the engagement ceremony and let me just say that they are gorgeous. Perhaps I'll scan them for everyone to see. My best friend has also been working with me to plan for the wedding [we don't have a date just yet, but we're ironing out some of the other details first] and things seem to be going smoothly. We set our engagement ceremony date for June 13th, so I'm quite excited. :D

Today, TamTu was given his interview date - May 14th. :) He's going to arrange for his medical appointment either tomorrow or Monday. I'm so thrilled and nervous for him and we still have 27 days before anything happens, haha.

I hope things are going well for everyone. <3

The only doom that's looming is you loving me to death,

I have a question that I'm somewhat stressing over, now that we have the interview date --

I know that he's supposed to have a copy of everything that I sent with the I-129F petition, which I did, but.. I didn't make copies of the pictures. I sent A LOT of pictures. I sent at least two from each visit prior to sending the petition and, if we went somewhere like Lake Tahoe or New York, I included pictures from those places to sort of back up the statements I made in the petition. So.. we're looking at anywhere from 12 to 18 pictures. Overkill, I know, but I like to err on the side of caution.

Anyway, I didn't make copies of the pictures because I was low on ink, which is expensive. Would it be a problem if he doesn't have copies of the pictures I had originally sent? I mean.. they have the pictures anyway.. so.. does he absolutely need them?

The only doom that's looming is you loving me to death,

So I'll give you a sec to catch your breath.

Just checking in to see how everyone's doing with their respective journeys. :)

TamTu booked his medical for April 28th, which is fast approaching. I can't believe how quickly this is all happening.

Ed + Cindy and Aline and Travis, any word on your applications?

I hope everyone's having a great weekend. :)

Hey lazulineiris, we are stuck in background checks at USCIS.

How about ALine+Travis? Have you heard anything?

(I hope you are not stuck with us...)
