Hellooooo everyone!! I don't know what to say this, but first thanks to OUR GOD!! PRAISE OUR GOD!! This morning, my time, around 4am - mine is January 16 (it's between 2-4pm in the U.S, January 15), I checked USCIS, the date changed to be January 15, 2009. I saw, oh God, it's another touched. Then I tried to sleep again. Then I went to work around 8am, I prayed first before checking the website again. Then there I saw this:

Receipt Number: WAC-**********

Application Type: I129F, PETITION FOR FIANCE(E)

Current Status: Approval notice sent.

On January 15, 2009, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service.

I didn't know what to do, my hands were shaking, I cried, thanks to OUR GOD!! I called my fiance, he's so happy! I hope all of you will get approval soon. Everything will be beautiful always in God's time.

Many, many congratulations to you both, Leanna & Erik and Cutedolphin! I'm so incredibly happy for both of you and have high hopes that the next steps will go smoothly. :)

The only doom that's looming is you loving me to death,

So I'll give you a sec to catch your breath.

Hello all fellow K-1 CSC Oct filers!!

I called the NVC today, spoke to the operator, gave them my fiancs name and birth date and my name and birthdate and we verified my contact phone number and then she asked me what i needed. I told her that I know the NVC gives petitions a new case number and would like to retreive it. She gave me the 13 digit number (letters and numbers) and told me that the petition has already been sent on the 14th to the US Embassy in London!!!!

Holyy freakin' jeez!

Sooooo happy!!!! :dance::dance:

Whoa, that's really fast!

And now that the information is relevant, I'm going to share some information I learned in the January 2008 filers thread. If you want to try to 'track' the mailing process from NVC to the Embassy, go here: http://track.dhl-usa.com/TrackByRef.asp?nav=TrackByRef

At this website, type in "EXP ## JAN 2009A" Replace the #-signs with the number for a date [01, or 20, etc]. The date cannot fall on a weekend, or it won't work, but anyway.. I entered "EXP 14 JAN 2009A" and it worked. :)

Anyway, hit "Enter" on your keyboard, or click "track" - You don't need to touch anything in the second box. The next page will show a list of packages delivered to various embassies. There's no definitive way of knowing which one is yours, but you can probably make a pretty good guess as to which is which.

The only doom that's looming is you loving me to death,

So I'll give you a sec to catch your breath.

I went to DHL.com (who the NVC use). First call up the NVC and find out the date they sent out your petition. Go to dhl.com and click that your from the united states. Then on the top you will see 'TRACK'. put your cursor over the 'Track' and click 'TRACK BY REFERENCE'

A box will come up that says "reference*" type 'EXP day month yearA'. In my case, my petition was sent from the NVC to the us embassy in london on the 14th. so my code was "EXP 14 JAN 2009A".....yes there is supposed to be a A at the end.

I used dates Jan 13 - 14th for the shipment range.

After that it gave me a bunch of things that were sent but one of them was for London, Enland--which is where my fiance's petition needs to get sent to. If you click on the tracking number (in red), you will find out the reason for the shipment (US documents), how heavy, who signed for it, when it was sent, ect.

I don't know how you find out when the NVC first received your petition, but it really doesn't matter when you know your petition is already out the door! :)

Good luck to all and I hope this helps
