Chennai Consulate - Packet 3

Hi Vjers,

I know am jumping around, but i needed to know a few things..so that i can be all prepared.. am a KI filer

here are a few questions :

1. I have read in forums here that chennai consulate does not send us a Packet 3 but only packet 4 ?

2. How long does the case take to get to chennai from NVC ?

3. Once the case reaches chennai consulate.. do i need to call and book for an interview date or will it come along with packet 4.

4. The checklist i have for the interview is 2 DS 156, 1 DS 156K, 1 DS 230, Birth Cirtificate, Passport, Police Certificate, proof of relationship and affidavit of support, Medical reports, all the fees - Am i right or do i need anything more ? [ Am single - never married so is my Fiance ]

I recieved my NOA2 on the 10th of Oct 2008 and i see a lot of posts that i have read but nothing specific to Chennai, India and the consulate website doesn't have a lot of information there :(..I hope someone has sailed this boat and can help me get on the right boat.. any information will be appreciated.

K1 - Fiance Visa

05/15/08: Filed for K1

12/01/08: Interview Scheduled for 9:00 AM at US consulate Chennai

12/01/08: Approved at 11:30 AM

12/04/08: Got the passport with the VISA stamped :D

12/09/08: Got on the airlines and arrived at LAX at 6:15 PM POE took 4 mins

01/27/09: The big day - WEDDING

01/28/09: Applied for SSN

02/12/09: Got SSN in the mail

02/17/09: Got Marriage Certificate

AOS

02/28/09: Filed AP, AOS and EAD

03/13/09: NOA received (AP, AOS and EAD)

03/13/09: Biometrics appointment received

03/18/09: RFE mailed

03/25/09: Biometrics schedule - Done [dint take more than 10 mins including the wait time]

03/27/09: Sent out required info with regard to RFE via Priority mail to Missouri

03/31/09: Request to expedite AP [ Travel Document]

04/02/09: AP Approved

04/06/09: Recieved Travel Document [AP] in the mail

04/13/09: Recieved EAC/EAD in the mail

04/25/09: Recieved Interview date for the 8th of June 2009

06/08/09: Interview for AOS at San Bernardino CA - Passed

08/29/09: Green Card Received

Removal of Conditions

03/09/2011: Filed for removal of conditions

03/18/2011: Received NOA1

04/18/2011: Biometrics scheduled - Early Bio completed on 03/30/2011

04/11/2011: Approved

04/15/2011: 10 Year Green Card Recieved

Naturalization

03/08/2012: Filed N-400

03/15/2012: Check Cashed

03/12/2012: Received NOA1

04/10/2012: Biometrics scheduled - Early Bio completed on 04/06/2012

05/11/2012: Interview Letter Recieved

06/15/2012: Interview - PASSED!

06/28/2012: Oath Ceremony

I think all form going to be standard formate provided by USA...only the consulate is different place.

Received Text Message & email: Application received and NOA1 sent on 03/28/2012

NOA1 Received/P.date: 03/26/2012

NOA1 received: 03/31/2012 received in mail

Bio Appt Sent: 04/26/2012 reveived email stating biomertic appt has been scheduled

Biometrics appointment notice received: 04/28/12

Biometric appointment: Schedule on 05/18/12 at Memphis-TN(done early on 05/03/2012)

Schedule for Interview:03/25/2012 Received Email, interview letter will received in 14 days

Interview Letter Received: 06/02/2012 received in mail

Interview: Schedule on 07/02/12 at 7:40am Memphis-TN

PASSES.. Naturalization Interview on 3 year base 07/02/2012 at 8:25am

Scheduled Oath Ceremony: On August 28th Received Email form USCIS, my oath ceremony scheduled.

Waiting for Oath Ceremony letter.

Called USCIS about oath ceremony letter :09/10/2012 (where is my oath letter)

called again USCIS about oath ceremony letter :09/13/2012 (got locaton an time on phone thanks God)

Finally received oath ceremony letter:09/19/2012(was sent on 09/17/2012)

Oathe Ceremony was on: 09/21/2012 at 8:00am (little Rock, Arkansas)

Finally I am U.S. Citizen

I thought so when we started it all, but seems to differ from consulate to consulate in India... i got to know of this by reading on VJ that every consulate exp shared by members sounds different.. i just wanted to be sure before i proceed and had these questions.

Anyone else that could lay some light on the questions asked ?
