yay, it's saturday!but why am i up so dang early?? oh yah, my cat howling at the door UGH!!! so here i am drinking some (not so good) coffee cuz we are very low on sugar and i don't want to be rude and not leave some for my husband.

Yesterday, on our way to my husband's soccer game, there was some action going on. There were about 4 police cars and we saw a person laying on the pavement, dozens of people circled around, didn't see no accident and as we passed the scene, there were like 6 more police cars coming, 2 ambulances and a fire truck. So on our way back, they had the road blocked and we had to take a detour, came home and i was hoping to catch the news and see what exactly happened and unfortanetly did not find out a thing. I can't believe this wouldnt be on the news. The news can put how a couple stayed at a hotel on their honeymoon and found a used condom in their room but not this!

Good morning everyone. It feels good to come back here and start reading again. I'm sad to say that 4 armed intruders came into our home last month (while we were in the home) and stole everything that was of value to us, including computers and my bag which had all my immigration papers and our ids passports etc. During the whole thing they hurt my son and husband, but alhamdulillah they're healed by now. The worst thing is that they stole my sense of comfort and safety. But I'm trying to work on that and trying not to be so edgey about anybody walking up or down the street. Everything happens for a reason and this whole ordeal brought EVERYONE in my family closer together so alhamdulillah about that.

I missed everyone I know from the forum and I welcome everyone new. May God bless you all. I have alot of catching up to do.

That is awful, you poor things, you are so lucky they didn't kill you all. Did they arrest the people that did this, sounds like a home invasion to me. Bless your heart, this will take time to heal, that is a awful experience for you all. I can't imagine the terror you all felt.



Turia- I love your flowers you had up, looks like you are a true gardener, I am too lazy and worried about spiders to garden, but I love to look at them.

Ayesha - (F) I'm so sorry to hear about this - it would freak me out, too. Hamdoulillah everyone is safe, the rest of it, albeit a pain in the bottom, can be replaced.

AFM, Just got back from a lovely scooter ride this morning down to the farmer's market. I got some fresh corn, bok choy, & eggplant. Also got some fresh peppers to make harissa with. Vacuumed floors and heading out soon to get a facial. Who knows what the afternoon may hold? Maybe some shopping? I need to go look at refrigerator/freezers.
