Thanks it is exhausting getting everyones letters and running over to the copy center to fax then to the different offices (I don't have a fax) and all of my conversations with my husband are about this stuff (which bites!) It's like we have a home business. He says did you get anymore letters to fax? did they get faxed? did you hear from the consulate yet? Any other news? Our romance is in the file cabinet! LOL I am wondering if our honeymoon will return  It will be an extra long visa journey if it is all business from here on. How do you all keep that lovin feelin ...I feel numb hhhhhhh

Well, soon enough inshallah it will be 'so honey it's your turn to feed the dog/cat/parrot/fish' or 'did you call the plumber yet' or how much do we owe on the Mastercard this month' LOL... Somehow you will keep the romance going.

I'm rootin' for ya - hope you get some word today unless the embassy observes Columbus Day?

This really is a game of hurry up and wait. I will warn you, if he is anything like my husband he will ask the same thing everyday. Have you done this have you done that, can you call the senator can you call the congressman....on and on and on. Then it goes to forget the visa, sell everything and come here. Then it goes to lets go to France, or Italy. And yes, you will fight, and yes, you will think about ending the marriage, and yes you will go through a slew of emotions. That is why the denial process is not for the weak. You just have to explain to your husband in advance that you can not speed up the process. And if you spend too much time bothering the representatives you might push them away from helping. I would touch bases with them about once every 2 weeks. But of course for now you can't do that. First would be to try to stop the petition. If that doesn't work then its just one day at a time.

But please remember to take care of yourself. Can I suggest that you plan on a visit if it is at all possible? And if you do don't spend time rehashing the situation, just enjoy each other.

'Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Chardonnay in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming 'WOO HOO, What a Ride'

Does anyone know if I should fax the letters (french, english, traditional arabic) from my husbands family to our congressmens office? I have faxed a couple of letters from my family to them, along with casa etc.... Also someone mentioned that if we bother the congressmans and state rep's office too much they will just ignore us. Does anyone know this to be true?
