Hi VJ community,

I'm the male half of Jaminzel and I was wondering if anyone could tell me if it's possible to pick up your visa right after the interview? if so we could then proceed on to the CFO seminar and then fly home to her devoted hubby, me. This would save us some us a trip since she doesn't live in Manila. It's very difficult to get advice from the USEM, what a complete blessing this site is, any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

jamin

Prior to DV some peeps were allowed to pick up their visas. Mainly if the petitioner attended the interview. Now who knows what will happen as a LOT end up on AR because of document verification.

K1 denied, K3/K4, CR-1/CR-2, AOS, ROC, Adoption, US citizenship and dual citizenship

!! ALL PAU!

Jamin, if your fiancee's consul told her that her visa is approved at the end of her interview she should immediately ask her consul if she can have it picked up. Only the consul can approve for the pick up arrangement. I doubt if you can have it on same day, probably 1-2 days after, as long as her papers are complete.

AOS

03-03-2009 - AOS, EAD, AP sent to Chicago office (USPS)

03-11-2009 - Notice Date

03-25-2009 - Case transferred to CSC

05-05-2009 - GC, EAD card, AP received. :D

You can ask your Consul. Just be sure to bring with you the letter requesting for visa pick up. There's no harm in trying. Good luck in your interview :)
