Help MAY CSC K1 TOUCHED REQUESTING MORE EVIDENCE?

OMG We got a touch finally ................BUT....

Current Status: Request for Additional Evidence Sent

On October 10, 2008, we mailed a notice requesting additional evidence or information in this case I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please follow the instructions on the notice to submit the requested information. This case will be in suspense until we receive the evidence or the opportunity to submit it expires. Once we receive the requested evidence or information and make a decision on the case, you will be notified by mail. If you move while this case is pending, call 1-800-375-5283 to update your address.

wAT DOES THIS MEAN? IS IT BAD? WHat else should i send ...farkk i thought my case was pretty much straight forward does it take long for it to be sent out ? will it go to fiance address in California or mine in AUstralia? Does it take long for them to send to go through our evidence again? arrrhhhhhhhhh........ PS. im guessing i should include pictures this time! hmmm and plane tickets of my last couple of trips we took after the K1 had gone through???

just means they did not have something or they need more explanation... many are simple request that are easily resolved....

It will be mailed to the petitioner

Emma look also for the RFE thread , it will give you a clue about what they may ask from you. Usually it's more evidence of your relationship but it can also be small things, like forgetting to put a N/A.

We are in the same boat, the RFE was sent to us on 6th Oct, but we haven't received the hard copy. We checked and double checked our papers and found something, I hope it's this as we can easily fix it and send it back right away.

Emma! This is good, at least you know they didn't lose your case! From what I've heard things go quickly after the RFE. I'm happy that you at least heard SOMETHING. Still in the dark here. Good luck with the RFE, you'll get your approval soon!

Try not to worry. At least they have picked up your file. Once you get the RFE back to them and all being well......the NOA2 should come sharpish!

I keep telling myself that it's a good thing, I least they didn't lose our file and once we send back the RFE papers, we'll have the NOA2 very quickly. But patience is not one of my virtues right now We've been waiting for 5 days now to get the RFE, to reveal the mystery and go along. At least my fiance is calm

it means RFE (Request For Evidence) and its not bad at all . maybe as people say you forgot to type N/A or a date........ or maybe they need more evidence like more pictures,Emails......

don't send anything to them before you get the RFE and then you will have to follow the instructions on the notice to submit the requested information and then you will know what you have to send to them .

they will send it to the Petitioner ( the USA citizen )

We are of the same scenario. We received an RFE notice last Oct 9. We are yet to find out the details of RFE.

The postive thing about this RFE, at least someone is working on our papers... Once we got the mail we just need to work on it FAST and pray for NOA2 approval soon.

As mentioned by Stepha, there is an pinned RFE thread. I have been reading it for the past few days to get some pointers.

Your RFE could be for anything but if you included proof of having met, proof of divorce...etc... then one of the most common RFE's i've seen in the time i've been here is on the I-129f Part C. Q2. Because Part C pertains to military question it seems people assume they do not need to check a box for Q2 but you actually do need to check it (see example forms).

In any case, it usually doesn't hold you up too long. Just get it back asap!

Thanks Jess praying for you still, I was like relieved when i revieved it cause i guess it was just that something but then im like dam..its no approval im hoping its a simple box or sumfn we didnt tick i thought we included enough evidence? oH well i guess only time will tell.....Have u tried calling them jess? Dont worry buy the time i get my RFE and send it back you will prob be sent a straight out approval! xoo emmm

Dont worry you will be ok, there are two postives to this (well if there any with USCIS)

1. They are adjudicating your file - not must moving it from shelf to shelf.

2. Once you get the letter, submit what they want - and it goes pretty good after that.

Keep in mind that altho USCIS is super human, sometimes that RFE is for something you sent in and they lost - so dont flip - just make sure you have certified copies of what ya sent and god speed from there

My fiance received yesterday the hard copy of the RFE: we forgot to send a copy of my divorce certificate, we sent only the translation into English. I feel so relieved now.
