She is NOT off Topic!! This is for 221g Administrative Process, this is how you feel when you are dealing with this AP!!! I feel the same way too!!! I wish I was with my hubby to enjoy our weekends together. If you can't understand this (how AP) makes you feel, then perhaps you should not say anything at all!!! :bonk:

:thumbs::thumbs::thumbs: You summed up my whole life right there. Yes it's off topic to anyone who is not suffering through it. D@MN I wish we could been those who sometimes pop in and give "wise" input or ask what AP even is...Oh I envy the ignorance.

BTW...I am breaking down too this is pathetique to keep on living like this...I hope we can pull through.

::HUGS:: to everyone here.

I try to stay busy, and I am very busy, but it is so hard to go out with friends and see all of the couples and keep explaining how my fiance is in Turkey and how hopefully he will be here soon.

I just want to be normal and have a normal relationship!

I also hate weekends I thinks it is because I know the Embassy is closed so I feel that these two days are just wasted time its like sitting on the beach at night and looking across the ocean and only seeing and feeling the darkness and dispair AP is a like being in isolation just wondering when the door will open the sad part for me is that I never heard of AP until it happened to us I was totally in the dark

Tell me about it........it's getting so old that i wish I could just write a one page deal on my story and hand the page to every person who asks " why do you have a fiance in Turkey???" then the questions.......same ones over and over :wacko:

We live in America. We are American citizens. There must be something we can do about this...but sadly it seems post 9/11 so many of our civil rights have been stamped out. So many Americans willingly bowed down in the name of "freedom" and "fighting terrorism". The face of this country has changed. Big brother rules our lives, even our love. What can we do about it? :unsure:

P.S. Sara - feel free to join this group, even though your fiance hasn't had his interview yet, you are in the same position that we are in...helplessly waiting in the dark. If I didn't have all of these amazing women here in this forum I would feel even more lost and alone, but everyday I sign in and read these posts and stories and words of encouragement and I feel a little better.

Let's all not forget to keep living our lives...even while we wait, as hard as that is. Take time to go for a walk and enjoy the leaves changing color, sit in a cafe, sip tea and read a good book, or have an evening out on the town with friends. We are still here, and we are still alive!

We can do one thing very soon and that is vote on Nov 4th and make sure we dont put those in office that beleive in bigger government. They want to control everything in our lives (your mention of big brother).

I digress, too much politics going on now :blink: .

It does seem that behind the scenes there must be some information the embassy has been told to slow the process down, so many AP given recently (or my awareness has made me notice more).

sometimes I think the week end gives me a chance to relax not expecting the phone to ring or looking for emails but in the back of my mind is the fact that the embassy doesnt work. I just hate AP :crying:

Why are the weekends depressing? I look forward to them, they are my favorites.

for me it is because it means another week has gone by and nothing has changed and i have to wait two more days to start hoping again
