Not necessarily, but it might raise some questions in the mind of the CO as to the validity of the relationship. More reason to supply as much supporting documentation as possible -- letters from friends and family, more photos and chat logs and e-mails. Spam their fax machine with that and try get it into your file, just IMHO.

I dont know, but I agree that it would probably raise questions in the CO's mind as to the motives and validity of the marriage to a USC. It makes it look as though, the lottery hasnt worked out so he took another route. (TOTALLY NOT INSINUATNG THAT!!!!) Im just imaging if I was the interviewer, thats what I would think.

Im so sorry you guys are going through this. (F) I'll keep you in my prayers.

Is there any way you can make a visit? I hope you are getting somewhere with the congressman and senators

"you fondle my trigger then you blame my gun"

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

If a person applied for the visa lottery at one time in theyre life.......3-5 years ago, will they be denyed a spouse visa?

Do you mean the person sent the lottery application and the name was not selected after the draw? If this is the case, I don't think it will be an issue. Applying for the lottery visa does not follow the same process as, for example, applying for a tourist visa. I would worry if a person is denied a tourist visa, for example. Just a thought

  • I-130 SENT 2-19
  • NOA1 RECEIVED 3-03
  • I-129F SENT 3-14
  • NOA1 RECEIVED 3-21
  • NOA2 RECEIVED 10-11
  • NVC CASE COMPLETE 11-21

yeah thats kinda what I was thinking too. Actally I know if I were born in morocco or ? and I was just out of college even I would think what the hey might as well take a chance and apply for the visa lotto and I would not necessarily want to escape my country. I would just want the oportunity. I don't see it as a desperate attempt to flee the country. But I was not sure how the consolate would view it. They are so speculative.
