Marrying a Non US Citizen While He's Here on A Work Visa

Hi I'm engaged to a man who's from Switzerland and he's here in the US now on a work Visa. We want to get married now, will he have to leave the US when his work visa is up even though we are married? If so, what should we do to make it so he can live here with me legally as my husband once we are married? Also I read somewhere where people from Switzerland can come here for like 3 months wihtout a visa so maybe being married to me and coming from Switzerland he won't need to go back at all?

File I-130 and I-485 together. This will result in permanent residence.

Residence does not result merely by getting married. The marriage will not change his immigration status, but it does qualify you to petition him as an immediate relative for a change of status.

you can concurrently file for employment authorization with the petition and adjustment of status, so in case the original work permit expires, you'll hopefully have another one ready until the green card is approved.

Yep, I am going from a work visa status to perm residency through marriage as well. You guys just need to file I-485, 130, 765 and 131 together, and that will solve the problem.
