Hey guys I was told by NVC today that our application was sent to the London embassy 2 days ago now so i'm hoping they might have it. How do I check to see if they have received it? To phone costs a fair bit, do you guys recommend e-mailing them? or will I just have to bite the bullet and phone them?

Cheers,

Stuart :content:

Honestly Stuart, having just come through this section of the process, I would just wait for a while.

The phone is expensive, and I actually received packet 3 before the people on the phone knew that my case had been received, so they don't always know what is happening in London (the call centre seems to be in Scotland judging by the accents!)

You can't actually email them until you have been waiting for a few weeks (the people on the phone give you a special code to put in the email subject box, once they deem that your case has been 'in transit' long enough, and without it your email will not be read).

I was unlucky, I think mine took 4 weeks to get to NVC and then another 4 weeks to reach the Embassy. Obviously it doesn't take that long but it just took them a long time to open and process my packet.

In my experience, calling doesn't speed things up, so if it has only been a few days I would give yourself a little rest and just wait. Good luck and your packet 3 will arrive!
