I got my marriage index/certificate of marriage today! It was a breeze...

4 Easy Steps:

1. fill-out the green form

2. have it screened/verified

3. pay 195 pesos

4. wait for it to be released

If you apply for this at the NSO Regional Office nearest you, it won't even take you half a day for it. Of course it's a different scenario in Manila. :D

Go get yourselves your copy guys, it won't hurt. god bless everyone!

they might still ask for your CENOMAR or CENMAR during the interview. So when you are in doubt, just make sure to get it. You wouldn't want to be caught off guard during the interview by not having a document. The difference is that CENOMAR is for people who are single. CENMAR is for married couples. My husband and I just applied for our CENMARs today via the NSO hotline. We live in manila so instead of going through all the lines we just called the NSO hotline at 737-1111. They will give you instructions where and how much you have to pay. We paid 430 pesos per certification. They said it would take 10 days to deliver it directly to our house but it can be earlier though.

Hello Good day, im new here im also wondering why my visa delivery take so long. My interview date was Oct.28 and it was a great one. i even ask the consul if im approved, she told me yes you are! but u need to submit additional requirements like CENOMAR and my hubby's divorce degree... then after that she says good luck! counter 37 called my name and give me the releasing papers.. last Nov.4 i submitted all they ask for and i ask the person who get my documents if i need to pay the document verification fee and he said no need to pay for that jus pay for the visa delivery fee, and then i pay the visa delivery fee... but until now no visa yet. havent't hear anything from them... im a little bit bored waiting for my visa  pls help, anyone here has the same problem? its more than a month already and i want to spend xmas with my husband  thank you, God bless us all :star:

^^Hello there, I submitted requested document on November 24 it's almost 3 weeks of waiting for me... but yours, more than a month... Did you call the embassy to inquire? There are VJ members who submitted requested documents on November 12 and they got their visas the first week of December...

We've been trying to contact the embassy but no luck... My husband will try to call again tomorrow... I'm waiting until Monday, if there's no text that visa arrives soon... I'll go to the embassy on Tuesday...

Send me a message so we can keep each other posted... God bless us...

CENOMAR (certificate of No Marriage) is something that your husband and wife get before you marry at civil wedding..most likely those who married at church don't know about this. me and my husband married at a City Hall in Baguio City and we needed to get a CENOMAR before we could marry.

Now, what we all need to get is a Marriage Index.. I know we wont really be needing this but I learned it is necessary.. Good luck to all.

To much information be passed around here...Lets try again, one person says its not needed, another says it is and yet another says to go to the NSO office and get something else. Umm my wife already has NSO copies that are certified of her birth cirt and our marriage cirt. If I am understanding this correctly, she wont need the CENOMAR being we are married? It doesnt make any sence that we could be approved to be married in the Phils if my wife was already married...i'm confused even more now.
