Hey Annie she said subway in DC  I seem to remember something about that???!!!! lol

Happy Friday MENA!! I hope that you all have marvelous weekends!!!!

I will tell you it takes a lot of patience and my husband yells out of frustration! I told him hush up or I will make you walk home! Last night he was cursing himself in Arabic for forgetting to turn on his turn signal and look over his shoulder! When I said what are you doing? He yelled "HUSHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH, I'm trying to concentrate!!" I laughed and said, "Me hush?, you are the one cussing at yourself!! You are keeping yourself from concentrating. Sometimes I just say God, grant me the patience to not choke the man!!

That's cool about the color coded signs. I've never been to Chicago and only rode a subway once for fun when I was a teenager and we visited Washington DC. Other than that never rode a public bus!

Gas prices are going down here so thats good news. All is well around here! Have a great Friday! :dancing: -Tam

My husband knows how to drive and owns a car, so I am very happy I don't have to teach him to do that. I am not a good person to teach driving skills, since most people including my husband think I am a reckless driver. LIARS THEY ARE, I am totally safe, they are wimps.

It's always nice to see what you all are doing over the weekend.

Nesting??? well I certainly starting nesting and not to be a downer but all the things I bought have collected dust.

I started to drink the alcohol I had purchased for our celebrating and the place has become a total mess!!!

AP is a freakin nightmare...please we need a miracle here so we can start our life.

I believe you GANJA GIRL! I get that one a lot too. Mostly from Men. It's funny when they are the drivers its cool for them to go over 90MPH but let a woman do it and we are "reckless". LOL What's up with that?

I am soo sorry for the AP Sandrila! I will keep you both in my prayers and I hope that it is over soon. Have a good weekend.

I dont know what it is the last couple of days but I can NOT stop eating. its so ridiculous. I'm eating and thinking about what I'm going to have next, what I am going to make for dinner (king ranch chicken casserole), what I am going to bake this weekend (almond poppyseed bundt cake), etc etc. Is it the change of seasons or am I just a bored hog or what??!!!

KING RANCH CHICKEN

1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of chicken soup

1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup

2 cups chicken broth

1 (10 ounce) can diced tomatoes with green chile peppers (like Ro-tel)

1 (12 ounce) package corn tortillas

3 cups cooked, diced chicken breast meat

1 onion, chopped

8 ounces shredded Cheddar cheese

1 1/2 teaspoons chili powder

1 teaspoon garlic salt

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

Combine the chicken soup, mushroom soup, broth and tomatoes with chiles. Set aside.

Lightly grease a shallow 3 quart casserole dish. Layer 1/2 the tortillas, 1/2 the chicken, 1/2 the onion, and 1/2 the cheese in the casserole dish. Pour 1/2 of the soup mixture over the layers. Repeat the layers of tortillas, chicken, onion; pour the remaining soup mixture over the top, then top with the remaining cheese. Sprinkle with chili powder and garlic salt and bake for 30 to 45 minutes.

This is the basic recipe I use although you can add other things like corn or olives, etc etc. tonite I am using only mushroom soup because I dont have the chicken soup and I am too lazy to go to the store (it might cut into my snacking time). Anyway this casserole is creamy and cheesy and slightly spicy and oh so delicious :)

yum that sounds soooooooooo good. I love creamed of chicken/mushroom/etc soup mixed into classic American dishes!

I'll definitely try that one!

On the other hand, All I've eaten in four days is a small cup of miso soup, and a 1/2 cup of white rice. :crying: I think I couldn't handle all that dairy and meat right now!
