Good morning everyone! Finally Friday!! Wael has a 3 day weekend! Doesn't feel like

fall here. Is to be 91 today...kinda hard to get into the mood of apple cider and pumpkins!

Have a great weekend everyone.

If you have the chance and want to see a really funny movie, rent "The Grand". Enjoy.

We seem to be heading into indian summer, too..It's supposed to be sunny and warm tomorrow. I hope it is, because the leaves are starting to change, so I may go out and about and take some nice fall pics at the forest preserve or maybe go to Graceland Cemetery which is really pretty....many famous Chicago peeps are buried there - Palmer, Marshall Field, Pullman......In the fall, it's really pretty for picture-taking.

  Yay! This is my last weekend alone! My hubby is coming home *next* weekend, and it can't happen soon enough.  I wish it would get colder here - it's starting to cool down a little late at night, but it's still in the mid-high 80's during the day. I'll be celebrating Friday by having a massage this afternoon! :star:

Take me, take me, take me!

Happy Friday Mena! SOOOOO glad today is Friday. I am ready to go home and bypass the Apple cider for a nice glass of Merlot.

Weekend plans are teaching my husband how to ride the bus and train in CHICAGO! I am sure we will be fine..... someone tell me we will be fine.

Hope you guys have a great weekend.

LOL Thank you. I am sure your hubby will be fine too. Ahmed MUST take public transportation. He doesn't know how to drive and I have NO patience for teaching him. I am a Chicagoan. LOL I am going to sign him up for driving school when that time comes. Probably no time soon. :)

He'll be fine! Chicago is so easy with the color coding system for the trains, and the numbering for the busses. :)

Now the Metra...that one confuses me

:P

I will tell you it takes a lot of patience and my husband yells out of frustration! I told him hush up or I will make you walk home! Last night he was cursing himself in Arabic for forgetting to turn on his turn signal and look over his shoulder! When I said what are you doing? He yelled "HUSHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH, I'm trying to concentrate!!" I laughed and said, "Me hush?, you are the one cussing at yourself!! You are keeping yourself from concentrating. Sometimes I just say God, grant me the patience to not choke the man!!

That's cool about the color coded signs. I've never been to Chicago and only rode a subway once for fun when I was a teenager and we visited Washington DC. Other than that never rode a public bus!

Yeah I wouldn't dare do the Metra. It should be fun. He has to learn because he starts his ESL classes in 2 weeks so he wants to take the train to school.

Carmen I see you are moving right along with your timeline!!! Congrats to you.

SEE!! I am trying to avoid all of that! LOL He still thinks I should run red lights instead of waiting because they have NO RULES in Egypt. I told him we won't even begin to entertain the thought of driving until he can understand our rules here.

My father said he would volunteer to teach him as well. I think that would probably work the best.

It is a lot easier getting around Chicago because of the trains and color coded signs. That will help him a lot. I haven't been on the train or bus in about 5 years. I didn't even know they talk and tell the street names. LOL I was shocked when I heard it. I am spoiled with driving, but it's nice to have public transportation too.
