Also I was wondering something. I have also heard this buzzword many times. It is investing in the infrastructure.

Is it the Socialist programs themselves or is it something else they mean?

If that's socialism I'd hate for you to see how most European countries are run with Democratic Socialism as oft a key party platform.

I think you'd really need to be around Stalin's Socialism to be logically as scared or afraid of Socialism as you look like you are. It's equivalent of being afraid of an atheist or agnostic running the country.

Edit: Investing in the infrastructure likely means necessary societal means, like roads, power, water, etc.

He never said what the infrastructure that needed investing. I never hear them say at all afterwards what they mean when I hear it and I hear it often.

Don't need to get defensive about Socialism. I never have inferred it was Communism. I have actually been to countries that you are thinking of. Socialism and Communism are different.

Gonna see if I can Google and see what they are saying about infrastructure.

Europe chooses and embraces Socialism and pays for it with taxes. They can't complain about it because they vote their way that way. If we choose to be that way then so be it. I have no probs actually with taxes and feel we should pay for our Government and stop the huge deficits.

You're right about the dictator part, which really had nothing to do with communism nor socialism.

But to correct you, his "Socialism in One Country" policy was indeed socialist and the mainstreaming of socialist roots related to tyrannical government which is nothing any party that involves "socialism" (i.e. Democratic Socialism) represents.

Europe chooses and embraces Socialism and pays for it with taxes. They can't complain about it because they vote their way that way. If we choose to be that way then so be it. I have no probs actually with taxes and feel we should pay for our Government and stop the huge deficits.

He is today even more to the right in terms of people's rights and corporate interests than Rockefeller Republicans.

Uh no, try again. I WANT universal health care. Obama's health care plan is a joke, and would only cover those NOT covered now, and includes private health care incentives. This has been iterated over and over as much as your rants against socialism. He would also give money to insurance companies, thereby increasing corporate profit-over-all influence upon the healthcare system, not reducing it.
