Totally off topic but I just had a brand new haircut to make me feel better and I think it worked! It's a bit different but easy to look after.

I know what you mean, "the hair high" you get after you have been to the salon! :star:

That makes me want to go!

I think I needed some colours put in too, but I'll save that for another day. The salon's are so expensive where I live.

I am so jealous! I am hundreds of miles away from the women that cuts my hair and I am way over due for a touch up. I would love a day at the salon right now.

You must include ALL applicable schedules for your tax returns to be considered complete. If all you had were 1040 and W-2's, so be it, but if there are any other forms you sent in, they should be included as well (otherwise it would not be a complete tax return).

Hmmm, well the only thing they asked for is 1040 and W-2s, I find it weird that they didn't say "and any other forms" or whatever. I wonder if it's because they only care about your income...because other than my W-2, I only had student interest paid and bank interest earned (maybe $20). I'm scared to just substitute the tax transcripts, though, what if they don't accept them????

Thanks again! It seems like a lot of paperwork. I am looking forward to being done with this process.

Speaking of paperwork, I was looking over the AOS package requirements the other day..... :ranting: more forms

and photocopies...bla bla bla :crying: I guess the process wont really end until Naturalization :)

That's true! Because if you don't become a citizen you have to get your green card renewed every 10 years...my grandmother still does this (she came from Germany 50 years ago and Germany doesn't allow dual citizenship, so she just kept the green card status) and last time renewal came up she had to go to the USCIS local office (local for her being a 3 hour drive) 3 times because her fingers no longer make good prints. She was just telling me yesterday how not nice they are and how they hold it over you that they have this power...

Guatemala doesn't allow dual citizenship either from what I understand, but it would be the only possible way to get his parents over here, so we might go on to naturalization.

I just tried the tracking system and it did not work for me...bummer.

Did you make sure you did the date "before" it supposedly left? And don't go by the date on the letter because mine was wrong...not as specific as what they tell you on the phone.

I've found a great lady near where I am who cuts and gives me highlights for $36 :wow: right? I met Josue as a blonde (well with blonde highlights) and got them taken out for winter, but maybe it's time to get them back in. Something about the summer makes me want to go lighter!!!

I've been doing my research as well.

I found out the Packet 3 is nothing but a checklist and info about setting up medical and interview. All he has to do is check off the list and sign that he has all of those forms ready for his interview. So we don't have to send any of our info with packet 3 they just want him to bring it to the interview.

Also on the tax question. I'm only sending 2008, I didn't see that you had to send more than the current one.

Hopefully , I can figure all of this out and it will all go smoothly!

Requirements vary by Consulate and even change over time. Before you just had to sign and send in the checklist along with DS-230 and passport photos, while now the Bangkok Consulate wants everything sent in before Packet 4 (interview date) is sent out. Same goes with tax returns/transcripts. Some Consulates may just ask for the past year's while others want to see past three years.

I am always taken aback by stories of foreign spouses/fiancé(e)s going to the interview only to be asked a few questions and having little to none of their evidence examined. Wow! Too easy, huh? I am planning for a heavy strutinization (BKK is a high fraud post) and would be happy to have anything less.

All the best to everyone, wherever you are in the journey.

Absolutely! Let's see another 65+ week and get October completely cleared out, and keep chunking away at November!

Anne, I used to never get mine done because I couldn't afford $70+ but since I've found her I usually go light in the summer, darker in the winter. I've put 2 colors in it foiled and only paid $65. She also cuts my mom's hair, my grandma's hair, and a bunch of others' that are friends of the family. I have recommended her to a lot of people! It's one of those shops where she knows everybody - I call to make an appointment and she starts asking about school, about Josue, my mom, etc. She has an amazing memory! If you're ever in the Lynchburg area drop me a line LOL!

By the way, the POE of entry for us will most likely be Atlanta - heard anything about their "level of harassment" there? I imagine it really depends on who you talk to and what side of the bed they woke up on, right?

Everybody have a great Monday!!! With setting these clocks ahead today, it's already 10:30 :crying: I need more weekend!
