Hey just you let you guys know I'm still around. Congrats to all those whose approvals I missed. Tom is here at the moment but things aren't going as well as I thought they would. I hope we pull through it though.

This is a difficult process...stay strong.

Chels, I wanted to ask you which number you used to contact NVC. There appear to be two or three numbers floating around this sit; one with 603 area code and the other (might) have been 201 area code.

I figure I could give a call late tonight or early tomorrow morning to see if it's arrived since Friday.

I feel for my fiancée as I have been pushing her to get everything ready for Packet 3. Having studied the guides, living and breathing this for months now, I am very familiar with it all. She has not studied it at all beyond what I've told her, so she just does whatever I tell her. On occasion she forgets the process for a step or neglects to do it and I feel the rage boiling up from within. Usually a half-second breather is enough, but boy do I have a latent aggressive streak in me!

I feel confident we can have it all ready to send in within the next three weeks.

I called 603-334-0700 which is the number on the description of the NVC Forum (before you even click to enter) here on VJ, it was 5pm on a Friday and I had to wait maybe 3 minutes then got connected to this fairly nice guy named Clark. Make sure you have your EAC# and your birthdate and your fiance's.

Apart from the rage boiling within (lol) I get the same thing sometimes with my fiance. He's complaining about going to get the medical (he hates needles) and I'm like "Are you freakin' kidding me!?!?!?!" because this is such a process and that is going to take all of, what, one hour??? My rage usually just turns out in annoyance. But I do feel bad for him because he lives 3 hours from the capital by bus (and I don't mean a nice greyhound, I mean a retired school bus) and he has to go there to do all of this, and a lot of it he can't do just in one trip. He is going to come get me when I arrive on April 9th, and we can't even take advantage of that time to do much of anything b/c it is a holiday in Guatemala. It is possible he may be able to do the medical that day, but it depends on when they set our interview date. The approved doctors, the bank where he has to go to pay the $131 ahead of time, of course the interview, everything is in the capital. And of course they don't issue the visa the same day, they make you come back at 3pm the next day to pick it up, grrrr. So he's looking at a possible 4-5 trips to the capital, including picking me up and dropping me off, in the next couple of months. But OH WELL it's about time he does some of this work, right? LOL!!! I shouldn't be so mean :innocent:

Pana is so beautiful and I am sooo happy that we will have such a gorgeous place to visit, but it is a hassle getting to the capital each time! Thanks! I'll keep you posted

Hey everyone ....now it is out turn to dance

''Application Type: I129F, PETITION FOR FIANCE(E)

Current Status: Approval notice sent.

On March 3, 2009, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service.''

Thank you guys for your comments and support. I need to figure out now what comes next....maybe to call NVC in couple of days.

As for Ruby_mtl I wanted to say that if he/she follows the pattern ( I mean for the ones that got touched) most of them got their approvals in the mail.

So I think you should check the mail .....Good luck to everyone.!!!!
