Congrats to all new approvals...I must admit, the excitement of seeing others being approved is dying a little. I'm still very happy for everybody but it's hard to see everybody getting approved and we don't even have a touch. I guess it's just me being tired...my kids are trying to adjust to crashing at grandma's house since I just sold my apt...so not much sleep here. Plus, as I said before, I'm expecting a RFE...so I NEED some movement already!!!!

Let's stay hopeful people...approval will come for all of us :)

Why do you expect a RFE ruby???

Because i was too stupid to put LOADS of proof that we met within the 2 years of filing....all we put were the birth certificates of our daughters! We see each other almost every 2 weeks, so we could've put alot more...but trust that I'm ready for that RFE!!!! BTW my SO is Trini....goooooo west indies!!! LOLOLOLOL

I have a feeling I might get an RFE too because I hadn't found VJ yet when I filed but I had bought a book for Fiance and Marriage Visas - it did not say a separate/specific letter of intent was needed for each party, just signs of plans being made, etc. So at the end of question #18 "how we met" I just wrote at the end that we would be married by the circuit court in *****, Virginia soon after he arrives. I did not specifically say 90 days and only I signed it, not Josue. So unfortunately I'm expecting an RFE too :crying:

Congrats Anya n Charles & Tom and Carol!!

Tom and Carol, you said you were signed up for automatic emails and didn't receive any? And your online case status didn't change either??? I'm going to check my mail box right now!!!!

Yea remember when i asked you about that email that said i got transfered..... i called uscis and the lady told me i was not transfered??? so i am assuming the email was my approval cause thats the date on the noa2... My online status still didnt change... this is what it says.... I have NOA2 sitting right beside me.

Application Type: I129F, PETITION FOR FIANCE(E)

Current Status: This case is now pending at the office to which it was transferred.

The I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E) was transferred and is now pending standard processing at a USCIS office. You will be notified by mail when a decision is made, or if the office needs something from you. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address. We process cases in the order we receive them. You can use our processing dates to estimate when this case will be done, counting from when USCIS received it. Follow the link below to check processing dates. You can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case. To receive e-mail updates, follow the link below to register.

You and i both got touches on the same days. 19th and 20th.

Gotcha...now I remember. *sigh* oh well, it'll come eventually!!! :bonk:

hello guys,

just posted to this forum few days ago, telling how depressed iam because this waiting period for the approval is like a torture, everyday we checked my fiance email and still says case received and pending.

this morning florida time (feb 25) my fiance and i were chatting and i was so sad cause i miss him so badly and felt so low cause all we can do is to wait till we hear from them.

checked his email and there was no email from cris. he left to go to work then i dont go much in uscis to check our case cause everytime i go there i turned seeing case pending. AND cant believe this morning i saw WE GOT APPROVED last feb 23'2009!!!!! "i acted like crazy im crying same time jumping and shouting for joy i even kissed and hug everybody here at home!!!! and i used to pray to have it on my mom's bday (feb 25) or this month and it was a miracle we have it this month and found it out on my mom's bday too. hehehe

thank you god, thank you hubby, thank you vj and the people here!!!

i wish everybody especially my batch mate from oct filer to get their approval very soon, so you will know and experience the happiness we have now, it will happen very soon too just keep believeing and keep praying.

Super excited to see more approvals. The energy was out yesterday so I had to take my VJ habit to an internet place with a generator. Good Luck to everyone today!! Chelsea and Josue when you get your notice I will run to the corner bar and do a shot of tequila. The waiting is almost unbearable. Congrats to all who are moving along.

I think I may get an RFE for the same reasons....but I have talked with so many people that do not include a letter of intent with the package. When I first saw VJ I was too overwhelmed to really pay attention. The guidelines directly from the office don't mention a lot of what VJers insist that you should have in our package. Some of it is overkill. I say hope for the best. In the box where they ask how you met I think I put 'see attached information'...I can't remember. Blah! I have my fingers crossed for everyone.

I am quite impressed with VSC's output, to say the least. Since joining in October, I cannot remember seeing so many adjudicated in just a day or two. Kudos to all VSC adjudicators!

As things are rolling, we might have a majority of Oct. filers finished by next week!

Thanks winifredbee! I appreciate the support! I will definitely celebrate with you also

It is kind of quiet today, Josue has forbidden me to look at this page except for in the morning, at lunch (I teach so lunch for me is at 11:20 - I'm sneakin' an early peek!), after school, and before bed lol. Yesterday I had a really bad day checking every 5 minutes and getting down, so he is putting restrictions on me lol. This is something I wanted to do anyway but he's just helping me control my addiction haha.

What is the best time to check for updates anyway? It seems like people get emails all different times of the day so it's kind of hard to keep track. But has anyone seen an average of about what time the emails are sent out????

ThaitoUSA, I sure hope so!!!!!!

I am of the belief that everything is perfect. What I mean to say is that everything and everyone is simply being that which they are. A well-behaved, well-mannered, well-educated child shall perform one way in my class. This child often can act mischievous since regular classwork seems boring to this child. I need to challenge this child intellectually by allowing this student to act more freely, more creatively. Then this student blossoms. I have other students that simply want the work. Give it to me, I'll do what I need to. These students are a majority and can be taught to right down the middle. Then there are students who detest studying, authority, etc. These students can still be taught to, however I only teach about a half of a dozen of them, which makes it much easier. Anyway, each and every child is perfect; absolutely, brilliantly, perfectly being that which they are. This can be applied to any situation.

I find that the close one comes to an absolute truth, the more universal may it be applied. For example, the dictum 'all life is sacred,' which is the first tenet of Buddhism, can be applied to any situation and it always fits. That life is worth preserving is a self evident truth that needs no defending nor could it even be proven. It simply is. 12 step groups have a dictum "There are no such things as justified resentments." The concept is that one can always choose forgiveness, which in the end is always best for everyone. Forgiveness must not be mistaken for passivity, that is you can love the tiger without climbing into the cage with him. You can love the thief but just don't loan him your car! Anger and malice always destroys the person who hates, but forgiveness lightens one's load so to speak.

Back to the truth that everything is perfect. Each one of us on this board represents a unique perspective, which is equally valid. How you respond to getting an RFE may be entirely different from my reaction, yet we are both expressing ourselves as who we are. When our NOA2's arrive is based upon literally billions of factors both known and unknown. In Eastern thought this is the concept of Karma. All that has ever taken place gives rise to this perfect moment which contributes to the fulfillment of the subsequent moment and so on. So that folks, whose petitions arrived a week after mine, have already received NOA2. How I choose to respond is up to me. I can wait and be patient (which I seem to have an abundance of) or I could get fearful or angry, sad or just not care. There is an enormous range of choices of how to be, however only a few really appeal to me and they include optimism, love, courage, kindness, understanding and willingness.

With such attitudes and understanding that all is perfect, trust me folks, it is! Every single second of every single day unfolds perfectly, whether it was all smiles or in tears. Everything and everyone are being precisely what they are and could not be anything other than that at that moment. It is a beautiful karmic dance which unfolds before one's perception like a thousand armed god who makes it all go (Hindu God Shiva).

It's simply perfect.
