So there has been a little moment on the list. One on the 20th and another on the 19th which is an Oct filer. The randomness is making this very exciting. I hope everyone is having a good weekend. I hope for good news for all the touches next week and more approvals.

Me too. It would be a bonus if we were approved whilst Tom was here. He arrives on Wednesday and I'm so excited! A litttle nervous too.

I think it will!

Is anyone else super nervous (especially USC whose foreign SO has never visited you in the states) that this will really happen? Don't get me wrong, I know it will and it is going to be amazing to marry Josue here and have him live with me, but since he has never been here, I've only visited him, it just feels unreal at times when I think about him actually being here!!!! Or maybe those like you, Laura and Kaye, who will be coming to the States. Is it sinking it yet that this will actually happen - and most likely by summertime???? The two touches I got just have got me thinking with butterflies in my stomach - is this really going to happen????????? :P

I don't think it has sunk in yet. I think it will once I get the visa as I will have to hand my notice in and start saying goodbye to people. At the moment I'm going through a range of emotions, happy, sad, excited, nervous. At the moment I seem to be mostly nervous as I'm really worried about not making any friends and getting a job I like.

It was surreal when my fiancée visited America for three weeks. She was staying up in Boston, studying at a language institute. We saw each other two of the weekends; I first flew up to see her and she flew down to Baltimore to see me. It felt like a dream (light and fuzzy around the edges) watching her beside me in my car. I couldn't help myself, and to her horror, I leaned over and kissed her at every red light (Thai are quite conservative and would not even give a little peck on the cheek in public). I could not help it though, there she was, beautiful as ever and IN MY CAR!

One thing that has been of enormous help lately is a service some other VJ member mentioned, www.voipdiscount.com For only $14, I get four months of unlimited talk time to Thailand. Though it uses internet technology, I actually speak with her from my cell phone to hers. Before I was paying as much as $0.26 a minute on AT&T or $0.13 a minute on Skype. As I am sure some of you have experienced, the phone bills were getting quite high. Now I am spending a fraction of that amount and talking more than ever. She loves expecting a call from me every morning and I love being able to talk on a daily basis (on the cheap!).

I won't give away the big surprise for this week. I'll only say that a couple of people on this board are going to be doing the happy dance. :)

Actually i've been thinking about this situation ever since my fiance proposed marriage. We have been living together in the USA for more than a year and moving back there isn't new to me but this time i will be with him as a wife and not just a girlfriend. I already have a lot of friends in baltimore coz i lived there for 19 months and just moved back here in the Philippines coz my training program ended it was something like the au par thing that other students do in USA.

I would be sacrificing a lot of things when i go back in America coz here in the Philippines I don't do household chores, I don't do my laundry and no cleaning of the house, i only cook sometimes it is because i want to eat something that our house maid can't cook. Not everyone in the Philippines are fortunate to live a life like how i am living but this is a kind of life i know i wont be having anymore when i move in america to be with my man. When i was there during my training i did all house hold chores, laundry, cleaning and cooking. I cook almost everyday not because i am a chef which was my job when i was there but because i wanted to take care of my fiance and he loves to eat home cooked meals.

I am excited and at the same time nervous because what if i miss my life in the Philippines and i get tired of doing all those household chores. I just hope i wont regret the path i'm taking which is to be with the man i love. I will always keep on praying that my soon to be married life would be as perfect as possible and that we will always be happily ever after. B)

Hi everybody:)

I am super excited to tell everybody here that it is now our turn to tell everybody that "WE GOT OUR NOA2!!"

I have been reading this topic every single day and was going nuts each day not knowing when it will happen to us finally. I am very sure I could have not done this without everybody here and I would like to thank you all for all your patience and support.

Another thing I should let everybody know is that our NOA2 was mailed out on Feb. 20. However, we didn't know about it until I logged into Case Status Online past midnight of Feb. 23 (Japan time)/10am of Feb. 22 EST.

I called my fiance right away wondering why we did not receive the notifying e-mail.

It turned out he had just received the e-mail from USCIS before 9am, Feb. 22 EST so didn't know about it until I called him because he was still asleep at 7am WST. (He is in the west now.)

It had been the biggest worry for us after my fiance informing USCIS of his address change to California after we filed. I know this worries a lot of people but I can say the address change did not affect our case.

I've been dying to post here and now I am so happy that I have this awsome news to post!!

I wish everybody here the best luck. I am pretty sure it won't be too much longer for everybody here:)

@ThaitoUSA

Got a couple questions for ya:

First, www.voipdiscount.com does not have Guatemala as one of the free countries, but it is only USD $0.10 per minute which is cheaper than I have found using www.jajah.com (which is thus far the cheapest I have found). But how do you use it from your cell to her's? If I can use it from my cell or house phone it is definitely worth the switch. With the exchange rate, it costs about USD $0.07 for him to call me, so sometimes I send him the money I would use to buy credit so it goes a little further. But every little bit counts and since I still end up calling him I would love to know how this works.

Second, what do you have up your sleeve???

I won't give away the big surprise for this week. I'll only say that a couple of people on this board are going to be doing the happy dance. :)

@jumpingbean,

Davchels, I go to the website and log in. Then I choose the number to dial. A moment later my cell phone receives a call from a local number. I answer and I hear it ringing my fiancée's phone, she picks up (also a local number calling her) and we chat. It is done over the internet, similar to Skype, except that I can call from my phone to any other phone, with brief usage of internet to place the call. I would say that is the only drawback, is having to be at a computer to place the call. Another similar service http://www.mobivox.com/ does not require a computer at all, but charged about $0.01 a minute, which was slightly more than VOIP Discount.

I saw that some more NOA2's on Friday were registered. Sometimes I forget that it's not everyone's priority to update their timeline as soon as they find out. I promise that if near computer, I shall do so within 12 hours of receiving notice. I want everyone to have the most accurate timeline possible.

Hmmm, mobivox.com is still more expensive to call Guatemala than jajah.com, but I may try the other if it will save me $0.045 per minute - that can definitely add up after a while! Thanks for the info but I'm still curious about your predictions/surprises!

I only use yahoo messenger voice computer to computer calls and i don't pay for anything. After a long talk and both of us sometimes fall asleep (i just woke up then and still sleepy and my fiance is about to go to bed coz it is night time in usa) we leave our laptops beside us while sleeping hahaha. What i do is i do a screen shot of our yahoo messenger so that we have proof that we talked that long. The longest time we had was 12 hrs wherein he already woke up to get ready for work while i was just online waiting for him to wake up and just surfing the net.
