Kaye,

Our NOA2 was dated the 11th of Feb which was a Wednesday. I called NVC the following Tuesday (17th) night (Monday was a holiday) and they had received our petition. The woman on the phone at nvc told me to call back in one to two weeks to see if it had been shipped out to the embassy yet. I am far too impatient for that, so I called everyday since Tuesday, and it shipped out last night (Thursday) to the embassy (2 days at nvc).

I would recommend calling sooner than later for peace of mind :)

Also, there is a way to semi-track your package on DHL by reference number once you know it has been shipped out.

Thanks for that information. Is it okay if i call up NVC i'm the beneficiary and i don't want to bother my fiance forcing him to call up NVC everyday coz he will also be busy with work. I also need to ask him to finish all his documents and to send it to me asap. Its good that he already has his employment certificate so what he needs to do now is his affidavit of support...no need to have that notarized right?

If he's filling out the new one it doesn't need to be notarized. I think you can call NVC but it will cost you more than it would if your fiance were to call.

I think it is okay if you are the beneficiary.

The number is 603/ 334 0700. Press #1 for English and then #5 for operator.

They will ask for your CIS # which is your case number EAC XXXXXX and then they

ask for petitioner's name and date of birth and beneficiary's name and date of birth.

There is an automated part to the system where you can enter your CIS but it is as reliable as the USCIS website.

Even this morning the automated system said our case had not arrived yet at nvc but it in fact has been shipped out

today to the embassy

It is my understanding that the I-134 does not need to be notarized anymore.

I did not notarize mine.

I've read they are pretty quick at scheduling interviews at Manila. You'll be in the US in no time!

Oooh, it's so exciting to hear about cases being touched! I keep checking online straight after I come home from work, but nothing as yet... It's the weekend almost, I wish it was Monday already, a new week with new approvals (though I read there can be approvals on Saturdays too). I think once our case is (hopefully!) approved, I won't believe it actually happened.
