Thanks guys!!!! I can't wait for you all to have this feeling!!

DaveChels, yes maybe they have started a new box?!? No touches at all, then the email came straight through. It has changed on USCIS as well.

GOOD LUCK!!! :jest:

Yeah, now it's just time to wait and see if we're in the same box as you LOL. Good to know, the only thing is I can't logon to USCIS anymore and I've changed my password and everything and it tells me I have "multiple SR" whatever that means, but I can still logon under my fiance's login. I think that was part of the original problem since we both registered our email with the same EAC # but we'll see. So I don't know if they will send me an email or him so I keep checking his email too haha.

In my case i did not get any touches i think the last touch i got was oct 8 after they placed my folder in a box. since there have been october approvals i have been checking uscis site and this thread like every 10 mins hahaha lol it was just crazy. and then yesterday i was out the whole day and my fiance sent a message to check his email and there it was the approval notice...

DaveChels, i also did not include any letter of intent..i guess those 120 pictures which i printed on 10 pages of A4 photo paper which i included helped a lot hahaha i really did not know it was a lot until i found this site. Even the part wherein how we met each other...i just wrote i think about 4 sentences and had to fit it in that tiny box that was in the form.

I told you guys i will keep everybody updated here even if i got my approval hahaha

congratulations to those who just got their approvals! i know how it feels really exciting ahaha i was jumping up and down when i was actually reading the email hahaha

Wow you fit 12 pics on one sheet of paper? :wow: That's a feat in and of itself lol. I only sent about 5 pictures, one of which was with his family at dinner and another with him, his little sister, his mom, me, and several other people doing ministry work. Since I wrote in "how we met" about how we were the same religion and all, I figured that would help. The book that I purchased was very helpful except that it had a whole section called "What is my name?" but did not say anything about Hispanic names, where they used Given name, 2nd Given (middle) name, father's last name, mother's last name. I just winged it the best I could and I don't foresee any problems with that. The book also did not specifically mention a letter of intent, just proof that you are making plans, etc. I just wrote at the end of the "how we met" answer that we would be married by the judge soon after he entered, and since I signed that as an addition to question 18 then hopefully they will accept it.

Anyone concerned about getting stuck in AP? I have read where some people get stuck at NVC or in Administrative Processing for security checks after the interview for months and months. Any rhyme or reason to this? I read somewhere one of the issues was if your fiance has a common name. Anyone know what the other issues are? Maybe someone who has been on VJ longer than me???

The general progression to NOA2 is linear, in that we tick it off month-by-month until this event horizon, past which point it becomes non-linear. Here we see October 29th approved before October 1st ad infinitum. I love these because the single most important critical factor I can perceive is the VSC adjudicator, who shall eventaully view all of our pettions. Not a single one, but the scores of them, of whom some check ours. How fast does she go? Does he give a lot of RFE's? Did he even scan the darn thing? Where's my touch?

Whenever yours comes, I wish you all the best, as do I until then and forever after.

:star::star:

Congratulations to all those who got approved.

"Non-linear progression" great term for something I am reeeeaaaallllyyyy starting to dislike. :(

LOL good to know...I've never heard that one! Are there any on here who are going to have to teach their SO English when they arrive? My fiance only speaks a little bit of English and it's mostly food/restaurant terms as he used to work in a restaurant and the town he lives in is fairly touristy - it's right by a beautiful lake and gets a lot of backpacker-college age traffic. I'm open to any and all tips on how to teach English...I read a pretty useful topic on here about putting sticky notes in the house with the English/Spanish words on it, don't use slang, don't mumble, etc. This is one of our goals during the time that he gets here and is waiting for his EAD.

I actually teach Spanish, so I can tell you how to use what tense and when, etc., but don't ask me about how to form English sentences lol! It's so hard to explain to him - he heard a line in a song "I just need you to hear" and he asked me if that was the same as "I need you here" and I tried explaining the difference but he said - here and hear are spelled different but pronounced the same???? When I think about forming the English language, it is quite difficult!!! I need help!

I like the sticky notes idea! My fiance speaks english but I am trying to learn swedish. One thing that he suggested for me to do is to buy very simplistic childrens comic books and start translating with a dictionary. Maybe your fiance could try that.

Also, I am a huge fan of the Rosetta Stone.

LOL - yes it does mean exhausted. It took me a while to figure that one out too. I'm having to learn that I speak "American" which doesn't always translate with "English" :D

It took me a l-o-n-g time to figure out what "in the wars" meant  . (it means that you feel 'banged up')

Yup tired lol. Oh yeah I use 'in the wars' alot aswell. You should hear my mum, she's from the north of the UK which is like a whole new language sometimes. If any one has seen Peter Kay they will know what I mean. Tom nudges me and is like 'what did she say?'.
