The documents I am collecting also are phone logs, used envelopes and any other proof of ongoing relationship. She has already gotten the certificate that confirms she is single (needed for Thailand), and she is preparing to get the police certificate and medical.

Our intention is to have nearly everything ready for Packet 3, so when it arrives from the Consulate, we can send back immediately. On average it's a month from then till the interview, and we really wish to have the visa by May.

I have a feeling we'll only see a couple of petitions approved today. Perhaps next week the pace shall pick up.

Well we don't get a packet 3 in Guatemala so we just have to wait for packet 4 which will include the interview date and everything, so I guess I need to get to working on the paperwork. I don't know if I should go ahead and ask my boss for the letter to go with the I-134 (I think that's the number?!?) or wait. It may take him a week or two to get it to me. What do you guys think? Also, I guess I need to read up on the guides and stuff for that form because I have made above poverty line definitely for 2007 and 2008 but I started working this job August 2006 and before that I was a FT student working PT so I don't remember how much I made. Is there a 3 year minimum for making 125% of poverty line or is it just proving a stable job, etc? Because I don't have a lot in savings, but I suppose I could include bank statements showing how much was deposited last year and all that jazz. Ideas?

Congrats Carmen! :dance::star:

I think you have to be making 125% at the time of the interview and in the pay stubs you provide.

Thanks! I hope so! I'll have to do more research on this :) Another thing I am getting together for the interview is a scrapbook I am making of Josue and I. Of course this is just a hobby anyway but I figure it will show the ongoing relationship because it will include pics from 2 different visits as well as pics of me with his family, doing community service work together, etc.

Looks like they did get an email but you can still logon to www.uscis.gov website and logon and see if they don't send you an email for some reason. I have seen some, though, that do not get emails and online it still says "Case received and pending" but they get the NOA2 in the snail mail.

I am excited too! :dance: Just waiting for my day :)

Do you know if they will want to see 2008 taxes? I plan on filing mine when I return to the states at the end of March. I am fine for 06. 07 , 08 but I resigned from teaching in NYC last Jan 08 and have taken a few months off to travel. My co-sponsor is a partner at Venture Capitalist firm and he does not have the traditional 1040s and W-2s. So I am a little confused about what documents he can submit. I will be working for my friends Foundation when I return...so I am planning to get a letter from her about employment. Is it true that our SO can work on the K-1 visa? All this movement is making me excited and worried. I almost don't feel ready but I think getting the paperwork in order now is not a bad idea. I would love to hear what other people are doing. Good Luck today. Looks like they opened box #7 yesterday.
