If anyone is interested USCIS have updated their processing times for Vermont.

https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/jsps/Processtim...eviceCenter=VSC

From the site:

'The table shown below is intended to be a tool for customers to view our processing times. When applications and petitions are completed within our target timeframes, those timeframes will be shown (example: 3 months). If we are not meeting our target timeframes a date will be shown (example: April 16, 2008).'

They must be meeting their target deadlines. Hmmm, not sure how much I believe that.

So October Petitioners/Beneficiaries it seems like we could have up to a a six month wait, or longer. That would knock my Feb 27 to March 14 Timeline estimate right out the window! April 2009 for us. . Though that is the window in which they expect to finish it, it could always be done before then.

This won't affect our plans too much but if it does end up being much later, we will have to make some changes in our original plans.

Does the April 2009 timeframe change any of your plans?

It's only a guidline so I'm not focusing on it too much. When my petition is approved, it's approved. I'm not gonna get hung up on dates, timelines etc.

I agree with you and at the same time I wish soooooo much I could be like you! I can't wait to be with Dex...being alone, with the kids is getting a tole on me. We just want to be together and raise our family together already!

So I'm hoping very much that the VJ timeline is somewhat accurate. Also, from what I've seen from many VJ members (not all of course), many were approved faster than what USCIS says. Let's hope we will all be as lucky!

Don't get me wrong, I want to be with Tom as soon as possible, but I don't see the point in making myself upset or stressed about it. He's serving overseas at the moment anyway and isn't due back until Feb so we have no need to hurry the system along. Ask me how I'm feeling come Feb, it'll be a whole different ball game!

I would consider a back up plan. I was estimating I'd be in the US by about Aug/Sept, and that was if everything went smoothly.

the party is just somehow important coz its like a sweet 16th bday party but she is actually turning 18 but we filipinos celebrate 18th birthday differently thats why i need to be there coz i'll be the chef and i'm supposed to cook all the food for the party. for my civil wedding i wanted it on the 16th of april coz it would be our 2nd year anniversary together. change of plans i guess huhuhuhu

Best to not set dates until you at least have an interview date and even that isn't an idea I would advocate

I was wondering if there was any flexibility in the expedited processing program for the I-129F applications. My fiancee might be in a situation where she might be unemployed and seeking out new employment wouldn't be beneficial in the short term knowing she is coming here. I wouldn't mind paying for the faster processing *if* it were available to us, but my initial search doesn't look promising.

Any insights?

in my case since i will be the one to have an interview here in us embassy in manila in time..is it required that i have a job or that i am employed? coz i don't have any plans on working anymore. i am financially stable but i am not working..is that okay?

The only way you can expedite your case is if your fiance is deployed or about to be deployed, or if it's a medical emergency. There is no option of paying for faster processing either, that's only available for work visas.

Even though my fiance is serving overseas we arn't eligable for an expedite.
