Hey Everyone,

On Igor's List, I have noticed that there are several members in the October filers section

(as well as the other months) whose profile name is not underlined--there is no way to click

on their names. Does this mean they no longer exist on VJ or is their profile set to

some type of privacy function?

I read somewhere you can create a timeline if you are not a member of VJ. I think that's what these are.

I'm still hoping for that Valentines day approval.

I am flying out from North Carolina on Sunday and will be in Snowy London Monday morning. They are calling for snow again so if my flight gets cancelled I will not be a happy girl!!!!

But, it will be a nice two weeks with my Fiancee' who I haven't seen in 6 months. Hopefully, we will get to celebrate the approval together. :luv:

My fiancee has let me know that the past two years and nine months apart have taken their toll on her. She does not wish to wait any longer, however she cannot leave Thailand till mid-July due to a contract. She is begging me to go see her during our Spring break, even if just for a week. I would love to go, yet I am weighing costs and other factors. I know she can wait another five months, she's just seemed to have lost most of her patience.

An NOA2 may be just the reassurance she needs right now to get her through the next few months. That sounds quite cliche, but I do sincerely believe it.

Take care all VJ couples.

Hi guys, I feel this week will be a good one for us October filers and am praying for everyone. I was supposed to leave Wed to see my boo but mother nature has decided otherwise :ranting: but I am hoping to leave on Saturday if my job allows these last minute changes.

May God bless you two its been a really long time, I feel the same way my eyes are swollen from crying so much. I was just feeling like there have got to be an easier way than this. Its kinda like torture. Its taken a toll on me too and I understand the $ issues when it comes to traveling. Just reassure your fiance that it will soon come to an end and all that you two have been through will surely make you a stronger, happier couple who will know the torture of being seperated and hopefully will never want to be apart again.

2 years 9 months?! thats really long...but hopefully we get our approval soon...yeah traveling to asia would be really expensive i was just searching for a flight to usa and it would cost me $1000 for 1 way ticket. i would rather wait until i get my approval and fly to usa to get married and not just fly there to give my SO a visit. i hope it is already monday so we can again start counting how may october filers are given approval hehe

Oh my gosh, I would go go go if there was any window of opportunity. My SO and I have been apart for

less than 30 days and it is torture. We have decided after this we never want to be away from each other

for more than a week.

I cant wait for Monday either!!!

How did you file a K1 4 months ago meeting the requirement of having met within the past two years if you haven't seen each other for 2 years 9 months????? That is a super long time, hang in there! I haven't seen my fiance in just over a month and it feels like a lifetime, I'm going back in 2 months 1 day (or just follow the clicker in my signature! lol) Sometimes I wish I could just jump on a plane for a weekend trip, but cost aside the airplane is 2 1/2 hours by bus from his house and I would be travelling so much it wouldn't be anywhere worth it. The upcoming 10 days is going to be the shortest trip so far, so we'll see how that goes!

I realize that I'm waiting for the NOA2, just waiting for that approval...and I get excited knowing it's close! :P Then I get down realizing it's just the next step and there's a couple months after that too :( And reading some posts about people getting stuck in AP for months :o Terrifying! And I can't even tell my fiance because he gets down worse than I do. When I first told him about the November filer getting approved last month he got really upset wondering why other people get approved before us who filed after us, etc.

Either way guys we've got to keep each other cheered up - post touches, anything! Like all of you, I actually look forward to Mondays for the first time in my life because it starts the work week for VSC ;) Hang in there!

I agree that it is easy to get down when you realize that there are several steps after the NOA2  But, I read someone's post here on VJ the other day that completely made sense to me...it was something to the effect of: it is best not to look at "the big picture" but rather take each step as a major milestone. That is the way my SO and I have begun looking at this whole process, just piece by piece. It seems to make it more digestable.

As far as AP. I am in denial about it...I just have to believe that it will not happen to us. :P

We have seen each other in the past 6 months, however it has only been for a few weeks at a time over the past three years. When I said "apart" I meant living separately on the other side of the world.

I appreciate the encouragement of others. I feel fine, it's my fiancee who is a bit down. We talk every day and do video chats weekly. Thank goodness we can keep in touch for so cheap.

Valentine's week is going to have some surprises!

I think I've kinda chilled out a little in the last two days because however much I want that NOA2 (and I do!) I know that I will not being leaving the UK until at least September. It'll be September whether our I-129F is approved in the next two days or next two months. I suppose I'm sort of pacing myself for the next few steps, if that makes sense.
