Would it not be a cruel twist of fate for VSC to skip over October and begin adjudicating Nov. and Dec. filers before us?

RBAL_TN and I agree that we should begin seeing Oct. approvals within the next couple of weeks. My prognostication last week was that some folks would have a lot more to celebrate than just Valentine's Day the week after next. Let's see how accurate it is.

Unfortunately it happns for some people. There are still some poor June, July and August filers who still have not seen signs of their NOA2's, not even a touch since their NOA1 dates.

PM me for any AP or AR relating to the NBI

I was JUST talking to my fiance about that. I was saying that August is about 70% done and September almost 50% so they should be starting in October soon...but what about the people in August who are still waiting? This could happen to us, almost done with Oct. and Nov. and move on to December and we haven't heard anything yet :crying: I mean, I hope not, but you never can tell. And the fact that we're at the end of the month - although they approve apps from Sept 15 and Aug 15 on the same day, so there really is no rhyme or reason

In this process faith is essential! .... even if it takes a little to get our cases approve they will get approved! we just have to pray that the waiting is not going to be sooooo long! I hope they start in October soon... like you said, they have been doing lots of August and September filers so hopefully they start with us real soonn! I checked the processing dates today and it still says April 15, 2008... wonder why???

All you can do is be positive and hope for the best. But be aware that VSC is way way way behind, so one thing is for sure in slowing you down right now is the processing times and backlog within VSC.

They might say they are way behind but lately they have been progressing quite nicely, like she said most of the august filers are done and september is halfway... so hopefully this continues....

If you look at the CSC stats they have left loads of people behind from each month from March last year. So they are approving people quicker but leaving more behind.

EDIT: here's the link http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/monthl...=2&sortby=2

I disagree Laura,

I believe a majority of the 20 or so people remaining from each month (March 08 onward) have either

1. received NOA2 or RFE but not updated their timelines

2. have dropped out of the process but not updated their timelines

And that makes sense that a good 15% of the people would neglect to update their timelines. That's not to say none of those listed are actually still waiting, as there are a few who are, but just a few and I believe their delay is due to extenuating circumstances.

Could be that too. But there is every chance.

I've noticed that too. A lot of the profiles you click on from March, April, etc. haven't been seen for months. Most likely they've already received some kind of contact....at least we hope so! I'm trying to have a positive day today! Yes  Yes  they will approve October soon!!!! :D

I have been keeping up with all the post and it does look like things are improving. Today is Balvino's birthday and when I asked him what he wanted he said 'My visa'. Me too!! We have friends that married here in Nicaragua and the process went so quickly I think it made him worry a little. A great distraction enter out lives on Tuesday. When I opened the front door to go to Spanish class a little kitten came rolling in. He named him 'Mini' which is Miskito (Balvino's native language) for cat. The first place he decided to take a nap was on top of all our visa documents and evidence. Now I have to figure out how to get the kitty to the states with us.
