October 08 K1 Filers

There were so many August filers because USCIS issued almost 90% of all July filers NOA 1 in August. This was because of the elections as USCIS stopped working on K1 and just did naturalizations so people could go and vote. That's what messed up their timeline I think.

Good luck to all you october filers. Most of you still have to go quite a long way to your NOA 2. Keep your heads up!

Can you substantiate that statement?

I actually read that in an article. They approved thousands of people right before the elections and stopped working on K1 which you can see by just looking at the NOA 1 dates of all July filers.

Well once they get the bulk of the August filers out of the way it should pick up. Starting to get fed up of reading multitudes of threads containing the same vent about why VSC is so slow. I think there should be a specific 'The slowness of VSC - have your say/vent here!' thread.

I'm in a pissy mood today for some reason and it's nothing to do with visa's etc.

Hi all.

I thought of dropping a line to wish you all to have NOA2 as soon as possible even though I might have to cancel my K1 Visa process since my fiance called off our relationship all sudden about 3 weeks ago and haven't talked to him since... I'm still in shock and haven't eaten or slept very well for weeks but I'll just have to see what will happen cause he hasn't sent out any cancellation letter to USCIS. Hopefully I get to bring back some good news next time I'm here..

Anyway enough of my sad story..Good luck to you all!!! :star::star:

Folks we are almost three months post-NOA1! Where has the time gone?

In the meantime we've been making wedding arrangements, which gets my fiancee pumped up. Every time I mention some detail, her voice lights up and she quickly goes about researching and deciding. "Honey, what should we give the guests?" Her response is a half dozen links to her suggested ideas. Or I'll ask, "So have you decided on a style of dress? (which she plans to have made in Thailand)" and I'll get several more links to some she likes. It's really endearing and it makes me just as happy and excited to see her this way.

I've also been gathering and preparing for all the information she'll need from me for the interview. I hope to have it sent to her before NVA even gets it to the consulate. That way as soon as the consulate acknowledges its receipt, we can send off Packet 3. We're still anticipating her having the interview by May this year, which will give us plenty of time for her to arrive in the middle of July (when her teaching contract ends).

I am about to begin my final semester at Johns Hopkins for an MA, which also works out well, so by the time she gets here, I'll be committed to just her and work.

We are also just two weeks away from the halfway point between when we last were together and when we shall e together again. And it's really flown by!

Hope all the rest of Oct. filers are healthy and happy.

As I think everyone in all these threads knows, long distance relationships are tough. I really hope things work out for you. Certainly try to get the communication started again if you want it to work. Best of luck to you.
