Oh yeah I forgot about the expedites.

On another note, sometimes you have to remember that there are probably a heck of a lot of people who have filed but never discovered VJ. It could be that VSC is cranking out a similar number of approvals to CSC but they just aren't being documented.

I thought of that too. They could be on similar paces, but just lopsided here on VJ.

USCIS doesn't break out K1 stats or even individual SC performance in its monthly reports, but their current trend is showing applications received down and approvals outpacing them. But that's for more than 3 million applications of all types - not merely K1s.

USCIS September 2008 report

I'm still keeping my hopes up for a mid to late Jan or early Feb NOA2 however. Gotta think positive.

Lovesponge --

I'm so excited that someone else has filed with my similar timeline from the JA. We can go through this process together. I was also planning a trip down in for V-day as I have a long weekend. Need to start booking now before the price hikes up again. I'm headed to Montego Bay -- my sweetie lives outside of Mobay. How about you?

Happy Holidays everyone!

Happy Holidays to eveyone! I just made it again to the US. This is my 2nd trip so far since filing K1 and no problems. Maybe the customs people at the Champlain, NY border are extra nice or maybe I'm just very lucky! I guess it is truly possible to travel while awaiting a K1 visa but I also think that it might be dofferent for different countries and/or people!

I'm just happy we made it! It makes the wait eaiser when we are able to see each other. I don't mean to rub it in the face of those of you who are not able to see their SO as often as i do....just wanted to share my happiness with people who understand how hard it is to have a long distance relationship!

It is possible to travel, it's just up to the officer at POE whether they will let you in or not, just like everyone else that goes to the US.

I'm going for two weeks in April so I'll make sure I'll have plenty of proof of ties to the UK. I found out myself that you are likely to get questioned more if you are visiting a fairly remote area than a well known town or city.

Yay, I just booked my tickets for April. Two weeks in Montgomery! Hopefully we will be sorting out wedding stuff and househunting.

Any idea what the weather is like in Alabama in April?
