I see USCIS have updated their processing times. Now it says March 07, 2008. It's going backwards rather than forwards!

Not good news. I was hoping we'd see continued improvement - not a slide back.

It doesn't really make any sense anyway as lots have been approved from April, May and June, maybe there are a few March stragglers.

Guys and Gals, USCIS posts dates like that to cover their butts, that's all. Pay attention to the timeslines here and processing times, it's as close as it gets...

Goodluck to al of us!

Sorry I have been missing all the fun on here! So I will catch up to the rest of you.

How we met: Andrew and I met when I attended the University of Wales, Newport for a year. That was 2002 he was 20 I was 26. I was a teacher so I had a nice Christmas and Summer vacation. Therefore, I would go to Wales for 2 weeks in Dec and a few weeks in the Summer. Andrew was finally able to get to the US for his first visit this past August. We went to New York for a few days and he proposed. I am heading over in Feb for 2 weeks for our Engagement party. I can't wait!!! We love Skype as well. It makes it all more easy. I am currently planning our wedding and keeping busy. I'm hoping we can have a June Wedding but its all up to the Government. If not June then September!

It was nice to sit down and read all the info and stories from people going throught the same thing.

I've seen a few from July as well. With my engineering background, I've taken lots of 'statistics' from the VJ timelines aside from Igor's list and determined that we should see approvals about mid-January though I'm still hoping for a nice Christmas present :D

How could it be any time in January? It seems like the average has been at least four months. Looking at several VSC filers who have been receiving petitions over the last month most are between 120 to 135 days. That would be corroborated by the processing time information at the top of this page, which had be showing about 130 days on average; up until this week when it climbed to 140 days.

130 days from October 1 would be mid-February. Since mine was mailed after the 15th of October, I would not expect anything until the end of February or beginning of March. The estimated adjudication date range is mid to the end of March. With some indications of a slowdown (USCIS adjusting it's timeframe backward and several VJ May and June filers who have yet to be adjudicated, which would be 5 to 6 months already), we might not be seeing NOA2 until end of March into April.

I am not certain if anyone else is in a similar situation, but my fiancee shall not be available to come here until after mid-July 2009. So whether we get it in April or May has very little bearing on our plans. We even accept that it could be until after July until we get the visa. Of course we wish to be together as soon as possible, but getting our visa in May won't facilitate that. So I am resigned. Resigned to wait until July or after if necessary.

I really wish I could bottle and sell patience!

I'm not expecting to leave for at least 3-4 months after my visa is granted, mainly due to my job and sorting out lots of stuff. I see some people leave about three days after their visa is given.

Tired of Waiting For Your Fiance??

Learn a new language, skill, hobby,

expand your horizons

What have you always wanted to do?

You're waiting anyway, so why not make the most of it?

Don't let your life waste away

There's no better time than right now. Think about it. I am very happy to be with ones I love, including my fiancee. My job is challenging, which I thoroughly enjoy because it helps me excel as a teacher and as a human. I am also pursuing further education at university and am about to graduate. Again this additional responsibility carries all sorts of rewards and compromises, yet I greet them with equanimity.

I didn't trust the VJ projected adjudicated date range since it seems to be using a simple 365 day average, so I pulled various stats from timeline searches here and broke them down for each month. I started with the most recent 3 months all the way to 1/1/2007 to come up with a MIN/MAX date range within a 3 month rolling average. Using the broader date range, I figure the min/max to be 77-102 days (excluding holidays) from NOA1 to NOA2. Since our NOA date is Oct 17 - that puts our NOA2 date between Jan 2 and Jan 27.

It may not be 100% accurate since its dependent on user input here on VJ and I don't have access to the raw data, but since I'm proficient in Excel, it was a fun exercise for a few hours. In either event, one can always hope for a earlier adjudication date! ;-)

We have the excat same dates so far so it will be interesting how we'll differ during the process! For sure it'll be different once our file leaves Vermont, but still...I hope we both get lucky with fast officers :)
