Glen, good for you!

I had an infopass appointment today... very frustrating experience. Apointment was for 11:15, but they didn't call me up to the window until about 12:45. You have no way of knowing how many people are in front of you, because the numbers aren't all the same series. (A11, C45, G1, C46, C47, A12, A13, A14, B26 for example...).

On the positive side, the agent created a service request for me 3 weeks before they would create one over the phone. I should get a response by July 4.

What's more difficult to wait 20 days or 200? I shall have waited 240 days from filing till the interview date. If things go well, she should be here in the next 20 days. Is it more difficult to wait that indeterminate interval to get the visa or that short step right after it? Right now it feels harder to wait three more weeks than it did to wait these three years we've been apart; Until the day she is here, she shall remain a world apart.

Yesterday was my last day at school; mostly comprised of a Maryland crab feast of faculty and staff. I also found out that I was accepted to a position at one of the best public schools in Baltimore. It's now less than 20 days until my fiancée arrives and with no work, I can focus solely on preparing for her. I wish for this to be the best arrival she's ever had.

Congrats ThaitoUSA!! Sounds like things are falling into place just in time for your new life. Try to keep yourself busy during the final phase of waiting. I think your right the final stretch is hard. I am looking for a teaching position for next year...in the Visual Arts. I hope I have your good luck with finding a good school. Thanks for keeping us posted. DavChels and I are keeping in touch in the AOS June Filers thread. It is amazing to hear about everyone's journey.

Congratulations Melly!

My fiancée's interview is in 17 hours and we are both very excited as we feel as though we're almost finished. I've already gone ahead and filled out most of the AOS paperwork; It seems like a breeze and not a big deal at all. Most importantly, we'll be together through it.

She passed the interview and shall return next Tuesday, June 23rd, to pick up the visa. If all goes according to plan, she'll be here by the beginning of July. Over the past two months we've been a bit apprehensive since all petitions were being held up at the Bangkok embassy. I was even a little uncertain as to whether we could keep to our plan to wed at the end of July. I am grateful that things have turned out this way.

It's been 240 days since NOA1 and over 300 days since we've last been together and only 15 more days to wait.

That is wonderful!! The AOS stuff was pretty straight forward but I stressed a little right before I sent it out. Congrats ThaitoUSA!
