Good day all!

I got my visa today!!!!!!

Well done you!!! What a relief that must be for you!! I am just waiting on police certificate from Cyprus  so I can get packet three sent off... how long did it take you to get your interview after yours was sent? And did you have your medical same day as interview or beforehand??? Not sure which is the cheapest/best way to go about that? Your advise would be appreciated. M x

Hey, yeah it is a relief! Its taken 7 months from the first NOA. I had my 2nd NOA mid Feb but didnt send what I needed until the end of March as I was in the US. Then I didnt send all the correct forms. I did a few days later and felt very lucky to get a 1st May interview. Before I got the interview I booked my medical, which turned out to be a week beore th interview. I live in Reading so its pretty easy getting to London within 25mins. I do feel for those who have to travel a long way to get to london. Its not cheap doing what you need for the visa and was happy that I didnt need to pay for hotels etc.

When I booked the medical, the next one they could give me was in two weeks. So I dont know how easy/ hard it is to get the interview and medical on the same day. The two places are not very far apart at all so it does make sense. The only hing I would say is that the medical place sends your results to the embassy within a few days. I dont think this matters too much as the embassy will just simply hold off sending the visa for those over lapping days.

Cheers  Thanks for that. Hmmm I am not sure how to go about the medical really... probably best to have it done beforehand just to be safe. Well congrats on this part of the journey being over for you, which...I am sure you would agree is the hardest!!! Best wishes for a happy reunion with your loved one M x

Hi everyone,

My Fiancee just got the medical exam done this week. Designated panel physician has informed her that the result is all good. What's next after medical? Would the embassy inform us that she pass the medical or we need to call the embassy to ask about it?

Thanks everyone!

It is Embassy specific, but surely the embassy doesn't have access to the medical results. You will need to let them know that her medical is finished and most likely take the results to the interview.

Some hospitals have been known to send the results directly to the embassy, though they are most often carried by the beneficiary.

Thanks everyone for your replies!

called the physician, they have sent the result directly to the embassy already. For now just preparing all docs to be brought to interview.hopefully by next week she gets the interview and visa!!

thanks everyone..God bless us all.

I apologize for the misinformation. I had no idea some doctors send the results directly to the embassy.

Glad to see some movement still - I'm working on the papers for the AOS, it just doesn't seem like we have time! We are closing on our house in 2 weeks (and moving that following weekend), and we just got a puppy! She's a black and tan dachshund named Bella :)

Hi guys I need your help!

My fiancee just realized she forgot to fill in her DOB on DS156 Q.10

What should we do now.. as it is electronically filled, has it generated to Indonesia Embassy database already?

Can she just write her DOB on the printed form or should she do it all over again?

If she has to do all over again..will it mess the entire application form as the completed DS156 that printed out has it specific barcode already.

Please I need your input guys...thanks so much in advance!

Although DS-156 is filled out online, the results are not saved nor forwarded to any embassy. As you are aware, changing anything on the form also changes the barcode. Therefore, she needs to fill it out again with her birthdate. My fiancée made a similar mistake and had to go back and do it again. No problem.

Edit: We have mailed back Packet 3 just over a month ago and still no word from the embassy about an interview date. My fiancée is beginning to get a bit impatient and concerned. I am assuring her that all is fine and shall work out just fine.

Thanks so much "beans" and "ThaitoUSA". Yes I was a bit worried about this as the completed printed form shows a barcode I thought it went thru the embassy database once we clicked "continue". But now I feel better as reading your replies. Will tell her to re-do the form again.

US embassy in Indonesia require the packet 3 to be submitted in person or by post and there is a possibility for her to get the packet 4 and interview at the same day of submitting the packet 3.

Hope you hear the news from embassy very soon. Maybe try to get her email the embassy ask them whether or not they have recive the packet 3. Just to be clear.

Thanks everyone and wish everyone a speedy process and best of luck on every stage of this journey.
