I just dropping by to say hello to my 1st family!

All is well here...packet 3 is at the consulate and I'll be waiting for my interview. Seems that things are picking up so we're planning a mid-August move, July interview! The forms for me were weird to fill out because of the kids...anyone else with dual citizen children??

Well congrats to all the newlyweds, new home owners, and all of you who have great things happening. Laura, I hope your life will be bright and you'lll find love again. Enjoy your new appartment!! :) Should I say flat? ;)

Take care all!

I prefer the word apartment as that's what they are listed as lol. I was always under the impression that apartments in the UK are self contained whereas flats share communal areas. But now I just think people use the word apartment as it sounds better. Still no word on when I can move in though.

Thanks Laura. I'll remember that! Good luck with the whole moving thing. It's a lot of work, but I LOVE moving: fresh paint, get to rearrage your furniture and/or get new one, everything is so neat and organized..........for the first week!!! LOLOL

Thanks Pete, yeah i have posted about that already in AOS but til now no good reply yet. If i do get some info i would share it to you coz i know you would be looking for a civil surgeon somewhere in baltimore area also soon.

I have read about exemptions since you would have already had the medical exam within the past year and same with the vaccination record. You might want to post this in the AOS board or do a search.

Hi everyone,

My Fiancee just got the medical exam done this week. Designated panel physician has informed her that the result is all good. What's next after medical? Would the embassy inform us that she pass the medical or we need to call the embassy to ask about it?

Thanks everyone!

It is Embassy specific, but surely the embassy doesn't have access to the medical results. You will need to let them know that her medical is finished and most likely take the results to the interview.

Some hospitals have been known to send the results directly to the embassy, though they are most often carried by the beneficiary.

just had my follow up tetanus shot...i went to Dr. Chopra of Arundel Medical Group in Glen burnie. I did not go through my physical exam anymore as i told him i had my medical in the Philippines before i went here. I only paid $75 for the consultation fee and $35(for the TD shot) + $15 for the service fee. I recommend for people living nearby Baltimore to visit his office since he knows what to do already...He gave me the I-693 on a sealed envelope. I also had my driver's license and my ssn changed to my married name already...just need to print my pictures and just waiting for my husband's employment certificate then i can already send out my AOS packet.

Well done you!!! What a relief that must be for you!! I am just waiting on police certificate from Cyprus  so I can get packet three sent off... how long did it take you to get your interview after yours was sent? And did you have your medical same day as interview or beforehand??? Not sure which is the cheapest/best way to go about that? Your advise would be appreciated. M x

Hey, yeah it is a relief! Its taken 7 months from the first NOA. I had my 2nd NOA mid Feb but didnt send what I needed until the end of March as I was in the US. Then I didnt send all the correct forms. I did a few days later and felt very lucky to get a 1st May interview. Before I got the interview I booked my medical, which turned out to be a week beore th interview. I live in Reading so its pretty easy getting to London within 25mins. I do feel for those who have to travel a long way to get to london. Its not cheap doing what you need for the visa and was happy that I didnt need to pay for hotels etc.

When I booked the medical, the next one they could give me was in two weeks. So I dont know how easy/ hard it is to get the interview and medical on the same day. The two places are not very far apart at all so it does make sense. The only hing I would say is that the medical place sends your results to the embassy within a few days. I dont think this matters too much as the embassy will just simply hold off sending the visa for those over lapping days.
