Hey everyone/Lovesponge how are you doing? I am still lingering about ... it's been roughly 6 1/2 months since our NOA1 and still no word  ! Mike called the customer service no last week to see if they would investigate and basically got the reply they were working on Sept the 23rds petitions and ours should be approved any day??? Mike still seems very optimistic, however I am really getting concerned, especially after reading other posts ie.. 6 months + and God forbid 1 year and waiting :crying:.

I have said to Mike we will call again next week after the Easter hols and if still no different try writing letter to his senator???? Sorry if I sound down everyone, however not gonna lie it is really beginning to wear me down. I am so sorry Laura to hear about you and Tom. You are a wonderful person and deserve to be happy. All my love to my fellow VJ'ers and heres wishing you all a speedy reunion with your loved one's. M x

Good day everyone,

Chels, thank you for asking. I finished the portfolio and its presentation. Just four more classes until I'm done in early May. Should be an easy sprint to the finish line. Graduation is May 21, so I plan to take off the next day too: Mon the 25th is Memorial Day, which would make a sweet 5-day weekend. What I am looking forward to is the big pay bump from the MA and hope to get at least one 'bonus' paycheck before summer break; honeymoon funds.

In other goods news, if everything has gone as expected, my fiancée has sent Packet 3 in today. She waited 2 weeks for the police certificate, and an additional week because of a mistake on their end. We are both so anxious to get an interview date within the next 3 weeks. She may be able to arrive as soon as the end of June (two weeks earlier than expected), so we are praying for that visa! I am staying with my grandmother in Philadelphia, and it was a great pleasure hearing her speak with my fiancée on the phone. They've never met but spoken a few times before. Grandma thinks she's the cutest thing and my fiancée thinks grandma is so sweet and loving. If they do get to meet, it will be a highlight of my life.

All the best to all of you, regardless of where you are in the journey.

Everyone have a great day and I will probably not be on until after the interview...(insert nail biting smiley here)

Dusseldorf, hope you hear something soon. There are always a few that fall through the cracks, unfortunately, but they will get handled eventually! Check out the 6+ months forum for some extra support, maybe some ideas of who to contact, and most importantly encouragement as there are ones who get their approvals in that forum too!

Thank you. I read a couple of last pages of the 6+ topic and it made me feel so awful  I better stay here!

We are going to write to senator next week, I am looking for the contacts online right now.

The other thing is, my fiance found a new job and I am happy for him, but with such schedule we won't be able to see each other for other at least four or five months :wow: It all makes me so upset and the damn case is still there without any signs of movement

Nice to see some familiar names and hear the updates. Good luck to those of you waiting. I hope USCIS gets their act together and lets you know what the hold up is or just approves the darn things. No logic to their system it makes me crazy.

ThaitoUSA...Congrats on almost finishing school. It sounds like most of the work is over. Did you see the article in the Times yesterday about the prediction of a high rate of teacher retirees in the coming years. Sounds like our jobs are secure in this crazy economy.

Chelsea that is so funny. I ate at that same Fridays at concourse B right? I got a turkey burger but there was mold on the bun so they gave me a new one and comped my entire meal and my beer. Atlanta is huge but easy to get around. Good Luck! I can't wait to hear how it went.

Balvino experienced his first Seder last night. I have good family friends that are Jewish and we always have the funniest parties with them. I think Balvino liked it.

Hey M&M, I was asking about you. Am so sorry to hear that you havent heard anything yet. I will be praying for you, I know you will get that NOA2 soon. Forget about that 1 year club. Its ok to be a little down, we all know how you feel so just hang in there. I know its hard to do but try to keep yourself busy and try not to go on USCIS website 10 times a day. I remember each time I did that it took a little part of my confidence. (L)(F)(L)

My fiance called up to uscis today to obtain any information about our god-knows-where-lost case, and guess what they said?

"Your full six months since noa1 will be next week, so call on the 17th or later for further info" :ranting::angry::dead:
