You do not need to send your birth certificate. All originals include airplane boarding passes, hotel receipts, letters that you exchanged, etc.

The I-134 Affidavit of Support has different requirements for different countries. In Thailand they has for a letter from employer, tax transcript or return from the past year (2008), and a copy of the petitioners passport. Others ask for pay slips from the past couple of months, three years of tax returns and/or transcripts, etc. It should specify in the Packet 3.

Thank you for your reply! Yes I guess I will need to wait til we got the packet 3 to know what exactly the Embassy needs . I think its true that different country required different requirements.

Thanks I appreciate your reply!!

Hello Oct fellow, I have question on what to send after NOA2. On the Step by Step Guide it says " send all originals of the documentary proof that you submitted for the I-129F to your fiancee for the interview..." Is it include the original of birth certficate?

And in Affidavit of Support, does it need the tax report as one of the supporting evidence?

What are the supporting evidence beside the letter for employer..?

Thanks guys for your answer and reply.

It does vary depending on the country. I would follow the advice on VJ just as a point of reference and see what the embassy ask for. All I needed was my taxes from 2007, they didn't even want to see the letter from my employer. I did not have the original petition information but I did have all the evidence regarding our relationship. The woman at the interview said 'give me everything you have'...I feel this is important. They also wanted a copy of my passport but did not my Birth Cert. Who knows it is different everywhere. Good Luck!!

Thanks for your reply. Yes like what ThaitoUSA has suggests me, I decided to wait til we receive the Packet3 to see what the requirement is for Indonesia.

Thank you I appreciate it!

You could also look at the K-1 visa pages on your embassy website, they usually have most of not all of the information you need.

Hello all! I haven't seen much movement for Oct. filers at VSC lately...what's up with that??? They need to wake up!!! For those of you who are still waiting, STAY STRONG!!

I'll take that advice for myself as well, since we are officially stuck in AP at NVC :crying: On top of it all a supervisor repeated to me that my interview will be in Vancouver instead of Montreal...I feel that they really don't know what they are talking about since I also follow a thread here on VJ about people waiting for interviews in Montreal. I'm going nuts since we can be stuck in AP for a while and then I might have to have the file transfered from Vancouver to Montreal - don't know how that works yet, and I hear that the delays to get and interview in Montreal is 4months!!!!:crying:

I thought that things would run smoothly for us as well after we get the NOA2, but noooooooo.....I feel even more helpless now......

good luck everyone

Not much has been happening with me. The embassy have received my DS forms but they won't do anything until I send the checklist. I'm still waiting for my police certificate. I keep meaning to call them but by the time I realise I need to, it's too late.

On another note, we were sent home from work due to the threat of asbestos, thing is we've probably been in contaminated air for 8 months since that's when the building work was done.

Well I'm working from home, does that count lol.

Thanks! Getting ready for the next round of paperwork. What is the best AOS thread on VJ. Nothing will beat this thread...you are all amazing! Hope everyone is well.

If there isn't one you could create your own AOS in March (or April) 2009 thread in the AOS section.

That is so weird. Does it say Vancouver on your 797? Have you looked into the Train or Greyhound to get to Vancouver? Longer but cheaper. Wow.

I wonder why they are sending it there. Maybe Montreal is trying to speed up and shifting some of the workload - and you can't talk them out of it?

I call NVC every day and they still don't have us in their system. Its getting frustrating.

I have a question. When I petitioned my fiancee, her son was not yet 21 years old. He turned 21 on Dec.2008. My petition was approved in Feb.2009. I am filling out form DS156K. It asks to list my fiancee's unmarried children under 21 years old. Will it be a problem to list her son who was not yet 21 when I filed petition?

I also have a question. I thought I would stick with this Oct VSC thread as everyone here are really helpful with answers. It says that we need to contact USCIS if there is a change of address. Is it apply only to Petitioner ? Or both Petitioner and Beneficiary? If my Fiancee has one different address she would like to use it to receive the Packet 3 from Embassy, instead of the address written on our petition, do we need to contact USCIS and tell them about this other address? Or is it the Embassy in her country that we must be in contact with for this matter?

FYI our case has been sent to NVC but we are not sure if it has reach Embassy or not.

Thanks everyone for your help.
