I just looked and there are already two groups. One called just 'Visa Journey' and another called 'K3 Family - Visa Journey'. So maybe a group specific to the K-1 or October filers depending on how specific we want to be.

Huh ??? If thats the case then I think it should be Oct specific, however would it be worth starting a group just for October??? Because really this is our group....on here?

I would just really like to keep in touch with everyone thats my concern I feel if I dont hear something soon gonna have to join the 6 months plus group! :help:

Oh and ThaitoUSA - I'm in Lynchburg!!

I know. That is how come I mentioned it. Don't happen to know the Ditterline family, do you?

Lovesponge, sorry to hear, but it very well could have been for the best. I am sure your fiancé shall be happy to oblige.

Oh, I hadn't realized I had mentioned it. But nope, can't say that I do.

Lovesponge, I am very sorry for your loss but keep your wonderful attitude - you two will soon be together and can try again!

winifredbee, email/send a PM to Captain Ewok - he's "the bomb" and will definitely fix it!

I don't have a Facebook - I had one in college when you had to have a college verified email address to sign up for an account. I deleted it after I realized just how much time it took! Now my most recent addiction is...what else could it be but Visa Journey!!!! LOL

A bit off topic but related to the college dorm comment; I am just wrapping up my electronic portfolio for Johns Hopkins. Each teacher in the Master's program must create an online portfolio that highlights your teaching ability and content knowledge. It includes uploading nearly 70 pieces of evidence to support your written essays. I just emailed the link to my advisor and shall wait to hear back. Hopefully there is little or nothing to change, as the deadline is tomorrow night and my presentation for it is in less than two weeks. Once this is done I just have about a month more of classes, albeit very light courseload, so really this is my last big assignment before graduation.

Good Luck ThaitoUSA, I wish you the best and congratulations what a great accomplishment you should be patting yourself on the back

Thank you very much folks. I truly appreciate your kind words. I was thinking the same thing Chels, that it's perfect timing for when my fiancée arrives. I want to give her all of my time outside of work. As well, she already has gotten her MA, so I've had a bit of a competitive spirit to get mine before she arrives.

How are wedding plans coming along? Invitations, gowns, gifts, venues? I remember a few of you discussing your plans a while back. I am little concerned to buy the rings until after the interview.

Our wedding plans are kind of on hold at the moment. We are seeing how things go. However he has bought my ring and currently it is sat on my desk in its box. I didn't realise how weighty platinum is. We were going to have a military wedding on base with the saber arch and everything however we now may just have a quick court wedding. To be honest at the moment I can't drum up any enthusiasm at all for wedding stuff.

Wow! Congrats. I had no idea you had all that going on. You have been a very busy person. Good Luck with the professors. Thinking about going back to school for a second Masters or even a PHD. Living in Boston right now gives me a few options.

So I started a group and I can edit it so I need some feedback.

BTW Our interview is this Wed and Balvino is really freaking out. So funny since that has been my job for the past few months. He keeps going over the dates that we traveled together...as if we made it all up yesterday

I feel the same. I am thinking about getting married right away when we get to the states and then just throwing a big party in June. I can still buy a cute dress and do a silly reenactment. I really just want to get all the stupid paperwork out of the way. Is that silly?

Boston shall always hold a special place in my heart, as that was the first place my fiancée and I were together when she visited America last year. She was there for a month studying English at an institute. When we went out she said "I would like to try New England clam chowder." It was so cute. I would consider living/teaching/studying in Boston one day.

Wish Balvino all the best. I am very confident that he shall do just fine and have visa in hand soon!
